Coronavirus lockdown could last 10-12 WEEKS: Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin warns millions of Americans may have to stay home until June in a bid to slow the spread

    • Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin shared details on Fox News Sunday
    • He said he hopes Congress will vote on the bill on Monday
    • Nearly one in four Americans, or 80 million, were under orders to close up shop and stay home
    • New York, California, Illinois, Connecticut, Oregon and New Jersey have instituted statewide lockdowns
    • Questioned about the time it took the government to take action against the spread, Mnuchin said: 'Nobody expected this to take off at the rate it did'

a lot of local governments are just gonna run out of money to pay their workers. Hard choices will be made about how to pay police, fire, 911 staff, EMS ect. I'm sure some places are working on super thin margins on their budgets and all sorts of lost revenue on taxes. This will be especially hard for places with high tourism economies.

Lost utility taxes on large non essential factories, work places, downtown buildings ect. lost hotel taxes, lost entertainment taxes, casino taxes, taxes from bars and pubs and eat in resturaunts. the list goes on and on.
let's see which mayors, aldermen, committee people ect give up their salaries early.

get ready to find a place to keep your own trash for a few months.

Lots of reasons we know and some we don't I'm sure.

    -population density

-huge international airport, plus a higher population that has recently traveled to foreign nations due to being 1st, 2nd generation immigrant with family still overseas.

-more testing, than any other state so more deaths labeled
    correctly.

The entire world will cease to exist in any degree we know within a month, if these measures continue

'If Donald Trump doesn't act, people will die who don't have to die': Bill de Blasio slams the president for 'not lifting a finger' to help his 'hometown of NYC' during the coronavirus crisis and warns hospitals will be depleted in just 10 days

    • New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday morning that Donald Trump has not done enough to help his 'hometown' of New York City
    • 'The truth is, and New Yorkers and all Americans deserve the blunt truth, it's only getting worse,' de Blasio said on NBC's Meet the Press
    • He said the worst is yet to come with coronavirus, claiming the escalating crisis would worsen into May and June
    • 'I can't be blunt enough, if the president doesn't act, people will die who could have lived otherwise,' he continued
    • New York City is facing the most amount of confirmed cases of coronavirus than anywhere else in America – harboring about 1/4 of the cases nationally

Greece has been shut down for 3 weeks now. Everyone is locked in their homes. 8 deaths so far out of 10 million people.
