    SB LIV Fun Facts

    • San Francisco and Kansas City teams last met to determine a major sports championship in the 2014 World Series. The San Francisco Giants defeated the Kansas City Royals, four games to three.
    • For the first time in Super Bowl history, the primary color of both teams is red. For the big game, the Chiefs will wear red jerseys and the 49ers will wear white jerseys.
    • Upcoming Super Bowl locations are Tampa (2021), Los Angeles (2022), Glendale, Arizona (2023) and New Orleans (2024).
    • Fox will be broadcasting the Super Bowl for a ninth time. Fox also will air the 2023 Super Bowl, the last game under the current broadcasting agreement between the NFL and the broadcast networks. The three networks pay about $3 billion each year.

Pat Summerall all announced 11 Super Bowls, more than anyone else, followed by Al Michaels at ten. Michaels is expected to tie Summerall next year when NBC televises Super Bowl LV.
    • One in seven Americans orders take-out food, with 60% of the orders being pizza.
    • Super Bowl weekend is the second biggest week of grilling after the Fourth of July.
    • On Super Sunday, there are 325.5 gallons of beer consumed and 1.25 billion chicken wings, eight million pounds of popcorn and 28 million pounds of potato chips eaten.
    • 47% of males say watching the game is the most important part of Super Bowl LIV compared to 19% for females. Females are more likely than males to say the commercials (20% to 13%), the half-time show (14% to 7%) and fun food that is prepared (6% to 4%) are the most important part of the Super Bowl. 11% of males and females responded that getting together with friends is the most important part of the game.
    • NFC/NFL teams have won 27 Super Bowls and AFC/AFL teams have won 26.

    The team that scored first has won eight of the last nine and 10 of the last 12 Super Bowls.

    The team that scored first has won 67.9 percent of the time (36-17).

    When the first score was a TD (25 times), the team won 68.0 percent of the time (17-8).

    When the first score was a FG (25 times), the team won 64.0 percent of the time (16-9).

    When the first score was a safety (3 times), the team won 100 percent of the time (3-0).

    Kansas City has scored first in the Super Bowl only once in their two appearances (1-0 on FG as the first score).

    The San Francisco 49ers have scored first in the Super Bowl four times in their six appearances, going 4-0 in those games (3-0 on TD as the first score, 1-0 on FG as the first score).

    I think its a coin toss so think I might follow those stats and bet live based on them for fun.

    They won't show us.

    Chicken farms often have their contracts threatened if they allow any insight into the part of the chicken industry. And since it's so much of the market is owned by so few companies, they can keep the public relations mess under wraps.

    Better luck getting a video documentary of N Korea than the inside of a chicken farm...lol...although both have obviously been done.
