According to Elias Sports Bureau, his 22 points are the most by a player in his NBA debut while playing fewer than 20 minutes in the shot-clock era (since 1954-55). Also, he became the first player in NBA history to go 4-for-4 (or better) from 3-point range in his NBA debut.

They are mics on the floor level to pick up the squeaks at some brodacasts so they can turn that specific sound up or down.
Instead of piping it in, teams like the Knicks tried to reduce the arena music and other noise to let the crowd and TV audience hear the "sounds of the game."
That didn't go over too well...lol.
Shoe companies that test shoes without squeaking get negative feedback from players, they want to hear the squeak to feel assured that they are getting a good grip on the floor...even if there is no difference.

#145I don't know the whole story, but it's all in the production with some variables that they can not control, like the other arena noise.

#152I could never articulate how idiotic it is to think that Zion Williamson will be anything less than one of the most dominant players in NBA history, let alone thinking he will be a "bust." He shot 68% from the field in college and went 12 for 13 last night, yet according to you, he "can't shoot." I can only hope the mods don't give me a one-week suspension when I bump this in a few months after he is shooting 54% from the field and averaging 21/9/3/2/1 as a 19-year-old. You don't need to always be a contrarian.Comment -

Handful of people saying Blake or LJ, and those could still be very true, especially having already missed half a season. My favorite is JJ though, who continued to waffle back and forth, based on the latest reports or games. Say what you want, but JJ knows how to stir a conversation!Comment -

Can he have bad games around the rim? Sure, eventually teams will figure him out and will swarm the paint and force him to do other things. That's what you go through as an NBA star when you're 19 years old. He'll fail, get back up, succeed at something else. He will continue to improve.
Even if he has a couple injury plagued seasons, which are highly likely, he'll still have an amazing career.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#172He's lighting it up now.. He's pretty much their only true big man down low though on a perimeter shoot happy team..
He's just a big fat young body that can jump and is athletic with some skills.. Reminds me of Charles Barkley in college..Comment -

#173one thing I absolutely love about Zion is he plays to win the game. he doesn't care for the glits and glamour. he's a hooper by all means and the definition of a true competitor. he has even motivated LeBron to bring his best effort in their two matchups so far. no AD last night no problem. Lebron was going to make his presence felt because greatness recognizes greatness. put it in the record books. we'll remember that game for a very long time.Comment -
