Yes you can still bet PS, O/U, and Moneyline on in state teams in Iowa. Just not individual player props.

Yes, you can bet on both IA and ISU within IA. I literally have tickets in my possession.

The only thing you can't do is player props for in state IA players.

University of Utah players just make the short trip to Wendover. They also hammered themselves at the westgate against BYU in the vegas bowl a couple years back. They bet so much $$ against themselves and threw the game against Washington last year. I have a MAJOR FUKKING clue here. Go look up the highlight s of the Utes turnovers and dropped passes in that game.

So it's different in all the States?

Do any States ban a bet on a team that is from that State, but plays a road game in a different part of the country?

Really didn't want to get a team on this research, was hoping SBR knew, but if it's different everywhere, we're going to have to get the attorneys on it to compile reliable, accurate info.

Also, how shifty is this landscape? Do these laws change or is there a general policy not likely to get interrupted?

WTF is going on here? I rarely get info from SBR, usually give it, but check in those who know something.

The ONLY reason why you need an attorney is to keep you out of the happy home for a 2nd, and by law, longer time.

KVB! It is different per state. I'm sure somebody can linkify to the individual state laws. All I know is IA's intricacies.

As you already know, Gold shouldn't be relied upon for any advise.

If we're getting down in Pennsylvania, can I bet on Thursday's preseason game? Pitt is playing in BkofAma Stadium.

    That's in Charlotte, NC.

    Appreciate it Hubie.

I'll get it straight as the need calls or I do solid research if I think it might in the future. That's one reason I mentioned shifting landscape.

I really don't give a shit what the rules and laws are now if it's going to change in a year, or if that seems to be a pattern among States. In a sense it's risk to me.

    I presume fading Pitt. Smart.

Not sure what the laws are out there but I would call before blindly trusting baldy's advice.

The only exclusion in the Iowa law is props on games in which an Iowa team plays in. Everything else is a go. It shouldn't change. Not sure about other states.

    It's different everywhere.

    What a cluster fuk.

I thought some of those betting rules were because the leagues, especially the NCAA were pushing for it. If that were true, it should be more universal. Maybe there was room for individual negotiation.
