Wanted to see if you guys think this is legitimate on the part of bovada or not.

I placed a live wager on an esports contest. I watched this game live and the characters had not been even picked yet when I placed the wager as one player wasn’t ready causing a 20-30 minute delay. This live bet went through and was a winning bet. The money was credited to my account and then about 3 hours after the wager it was removed and listed as “canceled past post”.

I don’t know how this is even possible with a live bet even though the game was delayed. This wasn’t a bad line or something where I got to see action and still take the same line. If it would have been canceled prior to becoming a winning bet maybe I could understand but this seems very shady to me.

File a claim with SBR. However, I will say some things that would immediately hurt your case. Was this bet significantly higher than your average bet? For example, say you normally bet $50-$100 and all of a sudden you bet $250 on this live esports bet. That looks bad.

Do you normally bet esports? Did you max bet this live line? These are the questions that SBR will ask. If a casual esports bettor, bets his average amount on a live line, then yes I think you have a case. If you randomly bet on esports for first time, made a much larger play than usual, or max bet it, these will definitely hurt your case.

At least half of my bets have currently been on esports in the last few weeks. Probably 30 different bets. I have bet anywhere from 50 to 1200. My average is probably around 150. This bet was for 250

I submitted a claim through here. Curious how it goes I’ve never had to go through this before. Has anyone had experience with the books customer support refusing to pay and it being able to be overturned through this site?

Many people have but that really doesn't impact on whether or not you may be paid. I don't bet esports but I suspect they may just get a feed of starting times and results and either that's what they grade on or they may even have automated grading for that from an outside source like say horse racing at many books. Have you contacted the sportsbook directly and if so what did they say? Did you try to explain the situation if you have contacted them?
