    Anyone familiar w Jags...

So WTF happened to this franchise

Last year was all about D and running

    They won

What happened? What changed, who'd they lose?

QB play wasn't supposed to be required for this team

the passing defense was number one for a lot of the season. Fournette was hurt most of the season. no running game and all in bortles hands. he is not that type of player. not his fault actually. when the d realized they can't win games individually it was a team divided. now the season is lost so the d isn't gonna play balls to the wall to win meaningless games. especially when the o gives minimum support.

Bortles is like john wall. almost impossible to trade. maybe you pawn him off on bucs because of jameis off field stuff. they don't wanna sign winston. Bortles only 2 years left on contract. they get a qb for cheap and get rid of dead weight. And blake isn't going to get in trouble. jags have to move on and hope for bridgewater in a guy who won't lose games. he is the new alex smith.

Complacency hurt them, too. They believed their own headlines.

After beating New England in a romp, they probably thought they had a Super Bowl appearance wrapped up.

this, and those games in pitt and ne were outliers for bortles. not the guy he usually looks like. for some reason everyone assumed he turned the page and they sign him to that contract. they have to get a qb or next season will be identical.

Not a fluke. A good defense can only win for so long before getting demoralized by its joke of a counterpart

Luck was out all year and Watson went down with injury. Easy year for Titans and Jags.

Patriots ended up being the beneficiary of it. No way Jags were going to be in the SB vs the Eagles with a backup Foles playing. That's why the Jags had the refs and Patriots beating them in the 4th q of the AFCCG.
