90% of sports gamblers are squares

Of course we think we’re not but if we did an analysis of all the plays that would sea our fate as a square.

The telltale signs are very obvious, the line we get the teams we take in all of us talking about statistics in previous meetings

Us squares are spotted at 35 miles away

I think its more in the thought process
system, played good yesterday, beat them last time, won 6 straight games, guy is on fire, Scored 400 last game will go over, never lose at home, covered last 5 times as a dog, play good on the road

these phrases and any phrases like them scream square.

Not everyone can be a "tremendous" playa

Go to your local park. You'll see countless broken dreamers calling "and 1" on the court. You'll see softball guy hitting his 93rd career homer trotting around the bases in a kee brace. Then the dude baggin your groceries at the supermarket set high school records in rushing td's

Its common in all competitions to have the majority of hopefuls turn out to be nothing. Nothing new

I think your comparison is comparing people on a fair playing field. Winners at sports betting are not gamblers, they are line math people who understand the stats. People who think they know about the Bears football team are long term losers.

I am going to edit this slightly because I know there are 1 million guys here that dont know shit or shinola about math and are winning piles of money everyday. SO I modify all to most to satisfy those people

according to my fence climbing fund, you can see a 9% increase in wind speed reduces the drag of bowling balls by 3% this hence calls for a 4% move in the index fund of chicken fingers and as a result the Spurs will win and the past evidence of the fence size shows this as a good line movement. or how does it go KVB?

If you can create a line that reflects reality better than the books can hang you will go a long way towards winning long term. Beating the closer is easy as it comes second to that.

    That's what I do.

For as much as me and danshan disagree with the only way to be a winner is beating the closing line(which I disagree), Whoever the guy is that said if you can create a line BETTER then the books your just talking crazy at this point. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE LINES THE ARE CONSISTANLEY BETTER THEN THE BOOKS EVER.

    You misunderstand what I posted.

Creating a line that is better than the books is the same thing as beating the closing line.

That's what I said. Create the better line, strike when the margin is adequate and over time you will beat the closer.

I didn't say it was better than the closer, but often it can be better than the opener or better at any point in time.

Creating a better line and getting it early is the only way to beat the closing line.

    Did you have another idea?
