Brewers reportedly believe Dodgers are using video to steal signs

The Houston Astros were accused of trying to steal signs through illegal means during both the ALDS and ALCS, but the paranoia has apparently not been limited to the American League.
According to Robert Murray of The Athletic, the Milwaukee Brewers suspect that the Los Angeles Dodgers have been trying to steal their signs in the NLCS with the help of video technology. Brewers catcher Erik Kratz has openly discussed the way his team has tried to mix signals to prevent the Dodgers from picking them up with runners on second, but there have been hints that Milwaukee suspects the espionage has gone beyond what’s legal.
“You’ve seen a couple times where something looks a little bit off,” pitcher Zach Davies said. “That’s something that’s part of the game. When you start using technology and when you start using guys outside of the baseball team to try to figure out what set of signs a pitcher is using, that’s a little … that kind of crosses the line.”
While the Brewers have not come out and said it, sources told Murray they at one point noticed a Dodgers coach running from the hallway into the dugout whenever a runner reached second. That could, in theory, mean the coach was consulting a video feed and then relaying what he saw to the baserunner. While the Brewers don’t have any hard evidence, they relayed their concerns to Major League Baseball.
“They use video people to get sequences,” one source told Murray. “It’s known throughout the league. MLB knows it’s an issue.”
Whether all of these allegations we have heard are true or not, MLB knows there are some things that need to be addressed during the offseason. There has been way too much talk about cheating, and the Astros got off without penalty despite what sounded like some blatant attempts to bend the rules. Having the integrity of the game called into question is never a good thing, especially on the biggest stage

Pretty bad at it if they are, scoring 1 run in 22 innings and then taking half of game 5 to get going.

"Unwritten rules" in baseball are the worst. Yeah you shouldn't use tech that's against the rules, but the whole stealing signs thing during the game is such a joke among other things.

What other sport would you have someone calling a play right in front of you and not try to see what was being called? Such a silly concept.

Big irony here with the crybaby Brewers who play their games with the starting pitcher. Why don’t the dodgers cry about that shady move? Because they’re grown men and just deal with it.

There is cheating in Little League and beer league softball. The depths of cheating in professional sports has to be epic.

Stealing signs has been part of baseball since the days of Honus Wagner. It's just more advanced. As a former pitcher I use to go through a sequence with my catcher with guys on second. It's hard to pick up doing it that anyway, video or not. What we would do is say, the first pitch, it's the 4th sign, 2nd pitch the 1st sign, 3rd pitch the 3rd and then the next hitter the exact opposite. We had the greatest pick off sign without me even having to check the runner. My catcher would wait until a runner at 1st would be getting ready to take his secondary lead on his last step or shuffle and then he would reach with his glove hand to adjust his helmet. As soon as his glove touched the helmet I turned and threw. We got some guys leaning the other way like that and they couldn't turn back fast enough to the bag.

    I miss those days.

Video shouldn't bother a team at all if they do it right. It's part of the game.

The easiest way to fix this problem is to not use signs. Why are signs used anyway?

    Just switch them more often.

All it takes is 1 time for a guy to be told he's getting a slider low and away and end up with a fastball at his chin.

They won't want to steal signs after that.

In a stunning twist the Milwaukee Brewers have retained the services of expert cheating investigator Joey Greco to look into allegations of sign stealing by the Dodgers. As a preemptive measure the Los Angeles club have contracted the New England Patriots ball boy to assist their legal team and destroy all cell phones related to the matter.

Not really the dodgers have actually contacted MLB about this exact move..... Of course the big dodger fan wont mention that however.
