#38Anybody else going to Indy next week for MSU-Kansas & Duke-Kentucky? Let me know if you want to meet up ahead of time!
How about any of the other early season tournaments... anyone going to the Vegas tourney with MSU, UNC, Texas, UCLA involved? I’ve always wanted to go to Maui Invitational too that would be a great trip...Comment -

#40Lol you clown... name one player on duke other than Zion Williamson. I’ll wait.Originally posted by jjgoldAnyone not betting Dukes a jerk off
Duke rolling out 4 freshmen in their starting lineup including a frosh PG. Zion can’t even shoot. This ain’t high school anymore, it’s big boy ball. Good luck with your Duke bet, I hope they’re favorites game 1 against Kentucky.Comment -

#54I believe Wyoming returns 2 starting guards, but I’ll be honest they’re not really on my radar and I don’t expect big things from them this year; I certainly am not laying -7.5 tomorrow against Santa Barbara.Originally posted by danwinklerIs wyoming returning anyone significant?Comment -

I am curious why you are high on Kentucky. I noticed you stated that duke is not returning any players but Kentucky is only returning one real/impact player from last year. Overall the best 3 players on the floor looks to be like from Duke. Yes, they don't have experience playing in real game but lot of new face for kentucky as well. And in coaching, Duke has big edge. I initially liked duke as a small play but stayed away after reading your point of view. Would be interested in hearing if you have few other things to say about this game. thanks.Comment -

#58I'm not Dom but I think he likes Kentucky because they added an impact grad transfer Reid Travis who should be able to match up just fine with Zion Williamson down low. It should be a good game but I think Kentucky gets it done because they have just as much talent as Duke and the edge in experience which is rare.Originally posted by danwinklerThanks.

But the biggest "returning" player is grad transfer monster Travis.Comment -

#60Calipari has only had this type of experience at UK 3 other times before... one won a National Championship, the other went undefeated 38-0 until they lost in the Final Four, and I think the third one went to Elite Eight with only 3-4 losses.
Now he has one of the oldest, strongest guys in the sport in Reid Travis as a senior leader. Travis is an experienced double-double type big, which Cal has never been lucky enough to have. UK also brings back from last season defensive big man Richards who I’ve heard has improved a lot, dynamic star Forward PJ Washington, and also off-ball guard Quade Green. Now mix in 5-Star talent like Keldon Johnson, 3pt sharp shooter Herro, and two stud freshmen competing for the PG role. Cal has all the pieces to do it this year.
Now as far as tonigh goes, it’s about inexperience on the Duke end. Zion will be playing his first game against MEN, not boys. Barrett will score plenty I’m sure, but I’m not sure how ready he is to defend this UK talent. And if Reddish or Jones aren’t draining 3s then I can’t see Duke keeping up. Kentucky can & will score down low and Herro can hit the 3 shot. Keldon Johnson may want to show off in the midst of all this RJ/Zion/Cam talk and remind everyone he is also a projected lottery pick.Comment -
