Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6 but 7 titles were promised from LeBum's mouth.

LeBum is an all time great because of his sheer size and athleticism but he has never lived up to the ESPN and Nike hype machine that went crazy when he hit the scene. Not even close.
All this hype was all about MIchael Jordan and the cash machine he brought to this league and nothing else. David Stern knew this and instructed all media members to jump on board with the "he is the best player in the planet nonsense". He has gotten tremendous help behind the scenes that most guys will never realize because they want to believe this stuff is all on the up and up. Back on another site years back, the last two days of the season Lebrons team was sitting around the fifth seed. There had to be like seven different things to happen so Lebron could move up and have the absolute easiest road thru the playoffs. It all happen just like i said. This is all documented on another site. When this league wants u to win they put there big machine behind you. That convenient trade that got the lakers a championship when they stole Paul Kasol and then Memphis got rewarded the very next year moving up in the draft to pick second. The Larry Brown championship in Detroit which was mastermind by Stern to get that Championship for Brown by stealing Rashad Wallace for nothing. It goes on and on. I was never a big fan of Lebrons and always knew he wasn't nearly as good as Jordan but i have to say the last two years he has really improved from when i thought he was just a very good player. But once again you saw in these finals that if u guard him with a solid defender u can turn him into a passer who starts doubting his shot. That is what IGGY did. Not this garbage in the East. Toronto, Indy are absolute jokes of a team. Everyone believes now Indy is up and coming. They are so average and I wouldn't doubt if they don't even make the playoffs next year. I never saw a guy get help like Lebron does except when this league jumped on Shaqs back and gave him 18 fouls a night unless they needed the Lakers to lose for the books than they would call the game straight and Shaq would be in foul trouble like he should have been every night. This is why i would never ever think Lebron was better than Jordan. Jordan was a machine who didn't need help. When Lebron is finally gone there will be another chosen one. Will he be a superstar or a very good player the league helps to brainwash the gullible into thinking "he is the greatest player in the world" and all that nonsense again. Kobe could have been a chosen one but the rape fuked up a lot of his progress. I knew this whole "greastest player on the planet nonsense" was a creation by the league because it got nauseating. Steven Smith backed me up by slipping and saying he got called into Sterns office and got reprimanded for talking bad about Lebron. Now why in the world would a commisioner in the league call a media member into his office to do this. It is so easy to see this is all about making money, getting great ratings, selling season tickets etc.., Oh and he was his era best player on the planet but to hear this shit like i need to be reminded of it fifty times a fuking day is sickening.

This coming from the guy who was trying to convince himself that okc with Melo was a good bet to win it all

Pretty sure lebron loyalists and apologists wouldn't want that kind of person to represent his cause when he writes a biography one day and includes his efighters in it

you can begrudge him for leaving miami to go back to cleveland.

you can begrudge him for many things.

but one thing that only a Know-nothing Sports-moron or someone completely biased against him would say, is that he did Not live up to the hype.

this is one of the most asinine things i have ever read.

i have followed sports for nearly 4 decades.

i have followed the NBA since 1985

NO PLAYER THAT HAS ENTERED THE LEAGUE IN THAT TIME HAS FACED MORE PRESSURE TO WIN THAN THIS GUY

PROBABLY NO PLAYER IN HISTORY (NOT WILT, NOT RUSSELL, NOT MAGIC, NOT BIRD, NOT MICHAEL) FACED AS MUCH PRESSURE AND EXPECTATIONS COMING INTO THE LEAGUE THAN THIS GUY

his team's games were on national television during his senior year of HS multiple times for crying out loud

cover of every sports magazine when he was only 18

Michael was picked #3. Kobe #13. Lebron was picked NUMBER ONE and was the end all be all according to the sports media

in 15 years in the league he was won 3 titles and been to the NBA finals an astonishing NINE TIMES

again, love him or hate him, that's fine, but please do not insult my sports intelligence by saying he UNDERACHIEVED vs the expectations.

that is COMPLETELY ASININE especially since NO ONE BEFORE HIM IN THE NBA FACED THE PRESSURE HE HAS

oh and btw, at 33.5 years old, HE AIN'T DONE

i am fit to be tied

    (mic drop)
Brady and Rodgers were drafted late, don't see what Draft position has to do with anything bud.

Is everyone going to start "dropping the mic" for stating the obvious now?

Rafa Nadal is the best tennis player on clay (mic drop)

Patriots were the best team in the past 15 years (mic drop)

Michael Phelps is the best swimmer in the world (mic drop)

OP made a thread trying to tell everyone OKC to win in 2018 was a good bet for 25 whole dollars (pick the fukking mic back up)

    this is stupid.

LeBRon never won a Ring where SOMEONE ELSE won the Finals MVP

Shaq won the first THREE MVP's of Kobe first three Rings.. without Kobe,
Lakers win anyways.. in one of them versus Indiana, Kobe played in only two games, and Lakers won in 6 games

after Kobe chased Shaq away.. SHAQ Won a Ring in MIAMI with Wade.. the NEXT YEAR..
lakers needed to add TWO 7 FT players to replace Shaq. Gasol and Bynum. BOTH All-Stars..

When Jordan left Bulls (first retirement) Bulls went from 57-Wins to 55 Wins.

When LeBron left Cavs.. Cleveland went from 61-Wins to 19 Wins.

Agree with you Ratzz but in fairness I need to fact check you here. Kobe started and played in 5 games in the 2000 finals vs Indiana

Kobe was extremely key in all 3 finals victories. without him, they may not even make the finals even though Shaq was there, let alone win them

I’m pretty sure Brady nor Rodgers shared the same expectations coming out of COLLEGE that LBJ had coming out of HS. That’s what draft position has to do with it. There’s a reason the number one pick carries more weight than say a 6th rounder.

Take a look at the astonishingly high numbers of top draft picks who never panned out and much of that was due to the pressure. Unless you're magic johnson most #1 draft picks go to crappy teams and they flame out.

The vast majority of #1 picks never put up great stats and never win a ring. This guy has won 3 including one in the craphole known as cleveland who as a city has shitttt the bed for a century.

Lived up to the hype and surpassed it. Still going strong. As trump would say, this guy is just a WINNER

    Lakers with without Kobe
Shaq averaged 38 pts for series
Kobe averaged 15 pts for Series

    https://www.basketball-reference.com...vs-lakers.html

Kobe SINGLEHANDEDLY cost Lakers Game 5 (4-20 FG) for 8 pts. shot .250 %

Kobe shot .367 FG% for ENTIRE SERIES... and shot .200 3P%

those are miserable numbers. miserable. Lakers with with a regular SG in there

Wrong wrong wrong...,Bynum was drafted by the lakers in 2005....They didn’t go recruiting this bum..He averaged 15 a game in 09’ and 10’ when Kobe won back to back rings without Shaq...Kobe was averaging 25 a fuking night when Shaq won those MVPS....You take Kobe off that team Shaq doesn’t get those rings....They both needed each other...
