Brady threatened to retire of Gronk got traded!

So Kraft nixed the deal after a closed door meeting with Bill. Offers from the Titans and the niners were on the table. Bill is trying to keep the team good for the long run but Brady is more worried about winning now for his year or two that he has left. I think Bill should just pack up and leave.

    Kraft needs to quit meddling.

Belichick is 0% loyal, but 100% genius.

Absolutely they did, bill knew it. But when the owner is boys with the star qb there not much a lowly coach can do!

The owner destroyed the team. He should be fired for incompetence.

Sounds like a lot of nonsense. There might have been discussions for Gronk to get his attention but nothing more. If he gets dealt it would be late in preseason or near trade deadline. Bill is a personnel ninja.

I do think the Pats era is just about done though. A few more years of winning east but not the sb or afc. The Butler benching will never sit well with anyone other than Bill and Eagles players/fans/backers. The offense still has plenty of talent but it doesn’t look like the defense got any difference makers. Hightower comes back which is great but all they can hope is he makes it to the postseason upright.

Brady and Gronk want some checkbook love. Both deserve it. Brady will end up getting a little percentage of ownership after he retires.

Belichick could have gone to the Giants this offseason. I was actually stunned it didn't happen based on all the love triangle shit with Brady, Jimmy G, and Kraft.

Gritter I can't even fathom a 4-12 or 3-13 Patriots season at this point. I'd have to see it to believe it. Maybe in the next ten years???

If players stop buying into the coach's system, it can go downhill quickly. Seattle is a good example after the horrible play call in SB vs Pats. New England is my team but I see it unraveling over the next 2-3 seasons.

What a bold prediction- isn’t Brady in his 40s

No he's not a genius. He inherited a great organization and great players,
and even cheated. Now he's such a bad General Manager that he loses SB
despite best play from QB in NFL history. Time for him to move on or retire.
We have Josh and can get a better GM.

Laker, theory = This is the year that the cracks show + Patriots fade out. Opine on this theory.

Jimmy G to San Francisco for a 2nd rounder is a Steal of all steals. He's one of the best QB's in the league with a huge future. However, Tom Brady made the Patriots. So much, that he was league MVP at age 40, threw for over 500 yards in the Super Bowl ( a game that Belichick lost by not playing Malcolm Butler). This is his "organization and until he say's he's leaving. He's the NE starting QB. He's earned it 100 times over. He is the greatest player of all time. Nobody has been this good at this age. Not Jerry rice and even if Montana played with tougher rules, Brady is the GOAT. The LONGEVITY will never be matched in this lifetime.
