Better for LeBron's brand if he loses to in ECF instead of Finals

People focus too much on the 3-5 record in the finals. they keep talking about Jordan's 6 for 6. well what about the 9 times Jordan did not make the finals? how about jerry west? 1-8 in the finals.

too much is made of the finals. jim kelly went 0-4 in super bowls but that means he won the AFC frikken 4 times in a row!!!

LeBron is better off losing this series, then leaving for Houston in free agency to team up with CP3 and The Beard, so he can get a crack at GS while he has two other studs w/ him

Pelicans, Wolves, or Spurs are a better fit he is not going to help Houston that much because Harden is better than him and they both need the ball.

LeBumbum will retire after this series with the Celtics. He knows deep in his heart he will never win another title. Time to focus on becoming a monotone robot actor in Tyler Perry movies.

If cavs get by celtics they're getting swept by GS or max 5 games. It is pointless for lebron.

Probably looks better to the average fan. Well, NBA fans are mainly of average intelligence anyway.

He could be a good match with CP3, but Harden. Harden and Lebron play with the ball in their hands 90% of the time.

They will work it out. If he goes to Houston, it's the end of the warriors dynasty.
LeBron would match KD, Harden/Paul vs Curry/Klay

i agree. the problem is the average fan and the ruthless media make up 90% of the sports watching world.

if the cavs beat the celtics, then Lebron led teams will have made the finals a staggering 9 times. unbelievable stat no matter how many times the finals were lost.

i again bring up jim kelly and the bills. 4 straight times winning the AFC to go to the SB is just an incredible stat. most people don't realize how difficult that is to do.

He's playing in the east for crying out loud.
Finals with Celtics without their two best players.

okay we need to stop with this. Hayward did not play all season long, we don't know how good he would be. Utah did just fine without him this year and they won a playoff series just like last year.

when kyrie and hayward come back next year you will see that hayward might only be the 4th best player and BTW kyrie will be the best player but not by much over rozier, brown, and tatum

Rozier, brown and tatum are ALL future stars

He's not losing this year final. This is one of the most rigged sport in the world and you think NBA and it's refs will let LeBron lose after all their agenda via the media?
They want LeBron to be the greatest

The media has given him a pass the entire playoffs...that's not going to change for the Finals.

The haters will bring up the Finals record regardless of if he wins or loses this one. He'll still have a losing record.

Had to play the Spurs 3 times and the Warriors 4. Dynasties!

The Dallas loss was inexplicable but he made up for that one by coming back from down 3-1 in 2016.

OP should stay by his phone. There's a good chance he'll be getting the call to be Lebron's new brand manager.

just an opinion Sir. obviously the sports figures and teams we rant about here, don't give one cahoot about us sports forum posters, but we are allowed to provide our opinion, right?

i think the storyline after GS wins will be about how dominant they are and how Lebron lost 6 of the 9 finals he was in.

love him or hate him, making 9 finals is an incredible accomplishment but people will focus on the 6 losses instead of the 3 wins, and the 8 straight

There's some truth to OP's post. Nobody ever talks about the series Jordan lost early.

His 6-0 finals record is cemented in history.
