    Bolt is an unusually good athlete. These timed records (running + swimming) often seem untouchable, then someone knocks it out.

    Athletes get better over time. But to your point...I think Bolt's record stays for 10+ years.

    that kind of height and leg turnover may never be duplicated

    might be like the 200 meter record that went decades without being broken until Michael Johnson came along.

    He SHATTERED the way the record progression went in our lifetimes.

    no other human has run anything in the 9.6's

    there are only 3 or 4 in the 9.7's
