Up until pretty recently in human history people ate extremely healthy compared to now. All organic, whole grains, no gmos or chemicals, fresh foods, yet they lived to about 36 on average. So its not all about food.

They didn't have balanced diets, they didn't have a grocery store down the street that sells every thing we get today.. They couldn't eat a salad or get fruits alot of the times during the year because it wasn't that time of the year to harvest..

People were smaller and shorter back in the old days because they lacked nutrition and variety.. What they did eat was healthy though for the most part and natural.. Besides that in the, 1700's, 1800's nobody bathed often, wasn't running water.. There wasn't a toilet or real sewer system in place either.. Shiiit festered.. Hygiene was horrific back in the old days.. Disease sprung up easily back then.. People got sick and died off early from a combination of things...

Fun fact - They didn't even have deodorants back in the old days.. Every man and woman smelled like a homeless bum on the streets.. Think about that?? No real medicines or antibiotics either to fight off disease.. Yes people died young and early in life back in the day..

Absolutely, just saying there are other things just as if not more important for your health

Many places are still like that. Even in a Western European country like Spain you get to know peoples' body odor before their name.
