Rivera, he had better numbers. The guys postseason e.r.a was like 0.95 or something.

I think each of those guts was an all star in 24 months of this.
im talking overall , every single guys stats included.
Id have to see something numbers wise that proves this wrong

And yeah nothing compares to their bullpen of the late 90's. Chapman is overrated. He is the reason the Yankees didn't win the division this year because of all his blown saves. I miss Mariano Rivera. Guy was the best ever.

2017 yanks are 3rd in majors in blown saves. that rules them out of the discussion. and I am a yankees fan
was amazing trio of guys, Herrera , Wade Davis and Holland
but even there numbers dont stand up to what Yankees did as a whole
Chapman is maybe the weakest of everyone of that group and even he is dominant
Its easy to debunk this , click on the teams roster you thinks better, click on their stats
link their individual stats for any one year as a group , and bammy

Yankees Offense and Bullpen make them pretty dangerous.... even against the invincible Tribe... Cleveland factor might come into play... this matchup could be closest of all the divisional series

Looked at the biggest competitors , the big 3 KC had
Glanced over 2015,2015,and 2016 and even they are tied at best with Yanks big 3 this year
and thats going by any of the 3 years they pitched together, and Chapman had a way off year this year
so imagine if he was up to form , plus the rest of Royals bullpen sucked those years
they didnt have 3 more guys doing this like the Yanks did

Yes I like the Yankees at the great price you are going to get them at if you have multiple sportsbooks
And Girardi will have a short leash on every single pitcher which could tax the bullpen
but when your bullpen has 6 guys with the output these guys bring ... that might not matter
Cleveland might be in for a surprise in the upcoming series
as a whole, cleveland has best era this year from the bullpen. dont know about the core itself numbers, but guys in the indians pen are nasty (miller, allen, mcalister, otero, shaw)

i think .02 more whip, .2 less era, 3 less k/9 is more impressive given its 5 guys pitching 90 more innings than the 6 yankees guys (2 came over at deadline)

wow hard to believe that group of guys matched the Yanks numbers this year
almost 100 more innings logged though and still didnt strike out as many as Yanks
but I see your point, def on par
i forgot how deep that pen was honestly. and while they didnt strike them out, they still got them out as shown by the whip
