    Rivera was great but

    Robertson in the 7th
    Betances in the 8th
    Chapman in the 9th

is better than what any team has ever had

    Even

those Royals Lkid is talkin about didnt match those numbers

Herrera , Wade, and Holland put up

Plus the Royals didnt have those other guys putting up the numbers the Yanks are
outside of the Big 3. Its all right there in the stats, they dont lie . Im amazed at what I saw

Rivera, he had better numbers. The guys postseason e.r.a was like 0.95 or something.

    I just looked this up.

    2006 MN TWINS bullpen had

    Joe Nathan
    Francisco Liriano (started later)
    Matt Garza
    Kyle Lodge
    Pat Neshek
    Matt Guerrier
    Glen Perkins

I think each of those guts was an all star in 24 months of this.

    Cmon gueye

here’s all the numbers you need

More people have walked on the moon (12) than men who have scored against Mariano Rivera in the postseason (11)

    dont forget the 0.70 era

    and how many rings?

And yeah nothing compares to their bullpen of the late 90's. Chapman is overrated. He is the reason the Yankees didn't win the division this year because of all his blown saves. I miss Mariano Rivera. Guy was the best ever.

    Fidel, 2 Q:

    1) U like Yankees in upcoming series?

    2) How early will Girardi go to the pen? 5th inning? Sooner, if necessary?

Yeah now you will have guys here claiming nobody went to the moon. I do know that Rivera was real. I seen him play many times and there will never be anybody like him who dominated for so long.

2017 yanks are 3rd in majors in blown saves. that rules them out of the discussion. and I am a yankees fan

Its easy to debunk this , click on the teams roster you thinks better, click on their stats
link their individual stats for any one year as a group , and bammy

Until then ,ill be eating pop rock slushies wondering if this is actually true myself

Im more confident than ever now , I even tried to nominate my first post in this thread

Yankees Offense and Bullpen make them pretty dangerous.... even against the invincible Tribe... Cleveland factor might come into play... this matchup could be closest of all the divisional series

was hoping someone else helped with this

Looked at the biggest competitors , the big 3 KC had

Glanced over 2015,2015,and 2016 and even they are tied at best with Yanks big 3 this year

and thats going by any of the 3 years they pitched together, and Chapman had a way off year this year

so imagine if he was up to form , plus the rest of Royals bullpen sucked those years

they didnt have 3 more guys doing this like the Yanks did

Yes I like the Yankees at the great price you are going to get them at if you have multiple sportsbooks

And Girardi will have a short leash on every single pitcher which could tax the bullpen

but when your bullpen has 6 guys with the output these guys bring ... that might not matter

Cleveland might be in for a surprise in the upcoming series

as a whole, cleveland has best era this year from the bullpen. dont know about the core itself numbers, but guys in the indians pen are nasty (miller, allen, mcalister, otero, shaw)

if you want a statistically better bullpen, ive got you. 2003 dodgers
    https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/LAD/2003.shtml

even more impressive that they pitched more innings

    green, robertson, betances, warren, kahnle, chapman = 298ip, 174h, 124bb, 78er, 413so

    gagne, mota, quantrill, shuey, martin = 384.2ip, 262h, 133b, 92er, 391so

    yankees = 1.00whip, 2.35era, 12.47so/9
    dodgers = 1.02whip, 2.15era, 9.16so/9

i think .02 more whip, .2 less era, 3 less k/9 is more impressive given its 5 guys pitching 90 more innings than the 6 yankees guys (2 came over at deadline)

wow hard to believe that group of guys matched the Yanks numbers this year

almost 100 more innings logged though and still didnt strike out as many as Yanks

but I see your point, def on par

i forgot how deep that pen was honestly. and while they didnt strike them out, they still got them out as shown by the whip
