Where is the best place to find the percentage of $ being wagered?

I have seen the stats on this site and have read them in sports articles.

Many on the board talk of how the public is betting heavy on team A.

For example, I read that around 90% of the betting tickets sold were on McGregor but 80% of the money was on Mayweather.

Where do I find the above betting percentages?

How do I find an accurate consensus of which team the public is taking?

Sports Insights is considered by many to be the best, but it is a subscription service.

I use Scores and Odds Betting Trends tab.

The percentages correlate to the NUMBER of tickets. The only way that I know of to tell what side has more money is by which way the line moves.

Not sure if you got it from me, but I posted %'s on the fight. You can get most info from twitter if you follow the right people. I'll probably get sports insights next year for cfb to get #'s in real time.

So.... say if team A has 80% and team B has 20%, team A is the public side. If the line moves from +3.5 to +2.5 on team B, then that implies that even though the largest number of tickets and joe blows (public) is on team A, the sharp money is on team B. This is called "reverse line movement".

I use SBR odds. Put your curser on the opener and a percent shows up. Put your curser to the right of the teams
a blue box appears. Click on that. You have consensus info and matchup info.

SBR has everything you need, no need to go anywhere else.

Forgive me reigle if I am mixing you up with someone else, but did you change your avatar? I thought you had a Penn St. logo.

As for the percentages, this is information I want to track out of curiosity. I am not sure I can quantify any trends that I may find for handicapping purposes.

    Also -

    Thanks for everyone's responses.

Id never trust anything like this and it could be very disinformative. For instance, if someone gives them is it for their book or a multitude of books included, is it all the money wagered on team as far as spread or are parlay, teaser, if, etc. included. With that said, percentage of bets means nothing, knowing how much money is on each side is more important and you'd never get that information.

Good to know but it's funny how many people opt to "fade the public". With that being stated, I will look at the information for my own amusement.

This is true but it's not the information, it's how you use the information that counts.

Understanding the motivation for fabrication can be important to understanding why the line opens where it opens and moves to where it closes.

If you understand those elements, you will go a long way towards winning over the long term.
