I agree. Harden is doing just fine at point guard. I don't see how CP3 fits in with their style of offense either.

Would think a better move for Paul was the Spurs.

Chris Paul getting older and isn't that much better the Patrick Beverly now.. Lou Williams a proven scorer off the bench as well..

Horrible trade for Houston... Clippers got the better deal IMO... Beverly showed heart in the playoffs this year.. Heart and soul of that failing Rockets team..https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-cli...154013456.html

    Bad fit I agree..

From the Clippers being the bottom of the NBA to making the playoffs consistently and multiple 50+ win seasons. I would say that is doing alright.
In the past 40 years of the NBA. Only about 10 different teams have made the finals in the West. Lakers have about 16 of those, but have not won over 27 games in over 5 years.... Their history is LA winning basketball but they are the bottom of the NBA now.

Weird landing spot. Think the Clippers got the better end of this one, for sure. Now, time to pawn off Griffin before teams realize he's terrible. No Paul means a tough time for Blake. If they can rid of him, then they could actually build a contender in a couple years.

They could get PG. Bring over Blake, and DeAndre too, and still have no shot. Paul, Harden, PG, Griffin, DJ still would lose. I was thinking about throwing Kawhi in there instead of Blake, but that one would have a shot.

Yeah but at least they are trying. You just can't give up when you have a player like harden in his prime

Chris Paul did the Clippers a huge solid while getting himself paid. He could have bolted for nothing. Honestly the Clippers were kind of stuck with a team that was good but wasn't going anywhere. CP leaving just makes the decisions easier and gets pieces back that they can build on.

yep... it was to annoying watching him trying to play D.... more fun to just let the other team drive to the hoop, shoot open jumpers, etc., so we can get the ball back and run n gun....

he's was disrupting the poetic flow of the game

Harden likes to control the ball and so does Chris Paul.. Both like to take over games and be the ball hog.. One player is going to have to change their game a bit and take a back seat and play off the ball.. That might hurt their game..

Could be a potential bad fit in Houston.. Both Paul and Harden really don't play strong perimeter defense either.. Blow by's coming up....

i hated losing brewer for the same reason.... fukker brought it every night and would kick some ass..... beverly was the only guy left on the team with any fight.......

maybe if I go down to Toyota Center and kick Nene in the nuts several dozen times, he'll get mean....

It's really not a great fit at all. But, they both talked about it. Paul isn't really a ball hog. Just depends if Harden can live not having the ball as much. Regardless, they aren't winning shit unless maybe if LeBron, and a big come too. Have to win through the draft these days, with a big FA add. The Warriors just nailed their draft picks, and added KD so good luck to the rest. Minnesota is an interesting team to look out for.

Agreed Beverly and Brewer brought the most toughness to that Rockets team..

I must say Chris Paul will bring a little toughness to the Houston team now as well... One thing Chris Paul does is compete hard and that was never in question here in Clipper land.. CP3 probably brought the most toughness to the Clipper team come to think of it..

So it's basically a trade off with Paul and Beverly.. You still get a tough competitor in both..

You guys are full of shit. Paul was on his 6th straight 1st team d. Couple years ago harden was the 2 guard. Their starting 5 is fine. They have indiana's finest as the back up. This puts them back in the west finals and if they can get a better 4 . Maybe the big guy heyward or better yet taj gibson and then we are styling

chron.com (houston chronicle) has an article up saying harden is "good with" the trade....

    talkiin' Paul George.....

be nice, but they'll still need Hakeem in his prime to dust GS
