    Key to beating the books

    Would taking notes on hot vs cold or hot vs hot/ cold vs cold form help? Would taking notes on all sorts of angles help? I just want to win

    No. The best way to beat the books is to create models that predict better lines than the book, and measure the amount of times that you beat the closing line.

    Current form is worth noting. The guys that can make their own lines are in the upper echelon but it is not the whole answer to success.

    But, I think a combination of both if that is possible.

    There is more than one way to define value-the current form valuation-need to win in game two of a playoff-you absolutely cannot win without being consistently on the value side.
