pass...although if you were to put a gun to my head and force a play, I'd probably take Minny (+3.5)

I got the vikings for 3.5 earlier this week. they are a great home team and defense responds at home. this is the nfl and cowboys are due to look human on the road. think this is the week.

Vikings can't score. Big mismatch. Line opened at -2.5 and thought Vegas was drunk

Yes,there is an argument a more scientific line would be Dallas by two. But,how much motivation is on the Vikings side and how healthy will they be for this game? This new stadium is a pretty good home field advantage. let's shop for a good line and price?

Only problem with this is Dallas has the best offense line in the NFL and they don't turn the ball over. Vikings offense is awful and without turnovers to give them a short field I am not sure they can score enough to win. Bradford was bad before he was banged up and Vikings have zero running game. I almost feel like Vegas through out a close line just begging people to bet the Vikings based on the nonsense of the opener. About the only justification of taking the Vikings is the whole, Cowboys look way too easy here. Even a mediocre showing by the Cowboys will be enough to win if they don't turn the ball over.

WR Stefon Diggs has been cleared and has had limited practice but he is nearly 100% healthy and more than likely will play tomorrow night...HUGE difference maker for the Vikes offense...if he plays, any points with Minny at home is a gift...

I hate the green bay theory, but the vikes really need this. detroit and gb won. they get dallas at home on a thursday. their d will play well and an opportune turnover can keep it close. thats why i said cowboys would play an average game at least once. i think minny wins and 3.5 is a great number.

Unless Minny gets a kickoff return and a turnover return then Dallas easy. Line should be Dallas -7.

Public sentiment has turned against the Vikings. As a result, the whole world is on Dallas. Funny things tend to happen when the entire world is backing one side.

The Vikings are signing fat guys off the street to play offensive line. You take up space? You're signed. They're on like their 6th string guard now. The defense has also been gashed since week 7. Bradford hasn't been bad as advertised but they can't run the ball either. That's why they seemingly air it out with a lead. They have the worst running attack in the history of modern NFL.

Now, the one angle I see that calls for taking the Vikings and the points, is that they typically lose games in heartbreaking fashion. That's tougher to occur laying 4 points. So I imagine they'll lead all game, do something stupid and lose by 2 points on a last second field goal

IOW, you're basically saying The Prick can take a crack at protecting Bradford's blind side... right? Well, he's gotta be better at that than handicapping... right? And finally, daner, if the Vikes were to sign Tubbywarrior, would he usurp Michael Sam as the 1st openly gay dude that actually got to play important minutes?

TT would make a hell of a DE or LB. just tell him to go play grab ass with whoever has the ball. Aaron Rodgers wouldn't even run away

Just played Dallas -3 (-120) & ML-170, will look for in-game ML + money if Vikings get quick lead.

    BOL gents.

Vikings' Mike Zimmer to have emergency eye surgery

Mike Zimmer may not be on the sidelines Thursday.

The Vikings coach will have emergency eye surgery on Wednesday night, the team announced, and his status for Thursday night's game is uncertain.

"Mike Zimmer is having emergency eye surgery tonight," general manager Rick Spielman said in a statement. "His status for coaching tomorrow's game is uncertain. I have met with the coaches and players and we have a contingency plan in place if Mike is unable to coach against Dallas."

Earlier this month, Zimmer underwent a minor medical procedure for a torn retina in his right eye after the coach said he scratched his eye during a Monday night loss to the Bears.

"The doctors, after the game, they checked and had me get in for an appointment, and I found out that I had a torn retina," Zimmer said, per the team's website. "Dr. Scott Sanderson and Dr. David Williams performed a procedure on my eye, fortunately.

"They said if you don't take care of those things that you have a possibility of going blind."

At the time, Zimmer added that he was watching game film with one eye and was, at times, forced to wear reading glasses.

If Zimmer is to miss Thursday night's vital matchup with the Cowboys, the Vikings will likely turn to newly promoted offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur or offensive line coach Tony Sparano.

Both coaches have head coaching experience -- Shurmur with the Browns and Sparano with the Dolphins. Shurmer also acted as interim coach for one game in Philadelphia in 2015 following Chip Kelly's exit. Sparano was the interim coach in Oakland in 2014 following the midseason firing of Dennis Allen.
