    Popovich not loving Trump.

    Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who has long given well-thought-out responses to a host of social and political issues, spent six minutes of his press conference before tonight’s game against the Pistons harshly criticizing President-elect Donald Trump, and the fact that people voted for him after the campaign he ran.

    Popovich said he was “just sick to my stomach” because of “the disgusting tenure and tone and all of the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic,” and that the scariest part was living in a “country where half of the people ignored all of that to elect someone.”

    Popovich said he desired for Tump to be a successful president like any “reasonable person” would, but went on express dismay that “people can just gloss that over, start talking about the transition team, and we’re all going to be kumbaya now and try to make the country good without talking about any of those things.”

    His strongest comments came at the end, when he empathized with those who aren’t like him—a rich white men:

    No one on Inside the NBA panel on TNT really liked Trump either.. I guess they associate him with the likes of a Donald Sterling and not the real Donald Trump..

    It's a shame.. Kenny Smith wanted to make me slap him, Charles Barkley didn't vote for Trump but said he would support Trump now as President.. Ernie proclaimed himself as a born again Christian and while he doesn't support Trump he will pray for him and hope he does well with the job... Shaq was kinda neutral as well..

    NBA is pretty much ANTI TRUMP as an entire group.. That's too bad...

    Stick to coaching. Amazing that the most he has talked in years is against Trump. Just worry about your team. We have our own minds, and collectively decided. Donald mafcking John Trump will be President.

    Everyone needs to get over it, and unite. We don't get anywhere by complaining, or not getting behind the President. I didn't vote Obama, but wished him well, and moved on. Hoping that the USA improved. It really didn't. Maybe in some ways, but in the majority of issues, no.
