You have to trade Romo if you can.

I like Romo, but what are you keeping him for??? They already know they're going to give Prescott the reins back at some point if Romo plays again. So what's the point of keeping Romo around at all??? Get as much of his salary off the cap as you can and move on.

The Browns should pull the trigger if that happens,he could do a lot of good for that team if he stays healthy.

Isn't his contract huge? I think his cap # is like $20 mill a year, doubt many teams can take that on.

Cap hit alone it's worth it to move on if youre the Boys. You shed his salary and you're in the mix for some defensive free agents next off-season which Dallas desperately needs.

Nope. Romo retires a cowboy. He is not going anywhere. Jerry wants to win and lose his way. That is with Romo and not Dak.

Not a chance the Cowboys will get anything for Romo when he continues to sit on the sidelines. The Cowboys will keep him until the end of this season and decide from there.
If he plays after week 9, wins games, gets them into the playoffs and does well there then revisit from there during the off-season, even if the idea of signing a 36 year old QB who will likely not play the full 16 games appeals to another team in the NFL.
Dallas could cut cap room but still have dead money then what do you do with the backup situation? Moore/Showers assuming Sanchez doesnt stick around at the end of the season.

No one could fit him in their cap with an in season trade

the can trade hm in off season or release him. I think he only has another 5 million guaranteed after this year

Romo would be injured as he is stepping out of the plane on the team who traded for him. No need to play to get injured.

The Bears interior on that line is on the better side in the NFL, it seems to be the tackles that is their issue.
Think their (likely) top 5 pick will be one of the defensive studs and try and get Garropulo for two second rounders although I think he Patriots will ask for a first rounder.

Risk reward. Boys cannot trade him and they know that...

Romo will get cut in the offseason (Jerry won't do it now purely out of respect). Then Romo will have to audition for a new gig at a greatly reduced price... if he has any brains he will take the advice of many of his friends and retire. Actually I think Jerry will want to give him the option of retiring with distinction rather than have to cut him

Trade Romo for 4-5 Cleveland quarterbacks. At least one should be able to play and not turn out a complete jackass.

Other than the Browns, who would be dumb enough to want him? Guy is made of glass, and chokes games away.

Actually, Browns would be the perfect fit. He'd put butts in the seats for the few games he plays per year before his annually scheduled injury, and he would make them competitive, but still miss the playoffs. Jax might be a fit too. Romo likes the warm weather and Bortles isn't developing as fast as they thought he would.

Jerry Jones is in love with any quality QB that is a winner for his team... review the history. Dak is his new love - trust me

He is a decent guy... he will allow Romo to retire after the season before deciding to cut him.
