Just rewatched 1998 vikings vs falcons championship game...... wow
Depressing stuff and I'm not even a vikings fan. They had no business losing that game. Just wanted to see a great superbowl. I knew Atlanta was going to be a shit matchup vs the broncos.
Vikings vs Elway's final game would have been a hell of a superbowl.

They were the best team that year. Kicker who hasn't missed one all year misses one. Then they sit on the ball with one of the greatest offenses ever and go into overtime.
That game was painful

You can't make this shit up. I had a futures bet on the Vikings, so I was already pissed, so I just threw money away riding the Dirty. As soon as Robinson shit hit the fan I knew I was fukked double time. I still can't believe the Vikes sat on the ball. Still steaming thinking about it all these years later.
I went to that Superbowl in Miami. I had a fukking ball. My neighbor help start EAS nutrition which studied performance and trained top athletes in most sports like John Elway. I got into the game with them and we setup EAS merchandise all over the Bronco's locker room. If you go back and look at their celebration it was EAS everywhere. The NFL was so pissed for the free advertising, you will never ever again see another company get that type of pub.
The shit really hit the fan after that game.

wow I was having a super great day until seeing this thread.
I was a freshman student at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota that year. Was watching in the dorm rooms with some people, many were Packer fans. I have never been in a fight before, but after that game almost came to blows with some fukking fudge Packer fans. What a shit show that was.
Just remember Dennis Greene had the number 1 offence that year take a knee with 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
