you didn't miss much, JJ.... o-o through regulation and thirty mins of extra time....

then the world's greatest soccer player can't even find the f'n net on a penalty kick when the goalie guessed wrong and dove the other way.....

that's why soccer is the most pathetic game in the world.......

the problem really is Maradona. not Messi.

intentionally screws up (or tries to as much as possible)
    like agent from other team.

    massive cokehead.

Maradona was lucky he did not have a demon screaming at him
    throughout his play.

not to mention that his biggest goal was punched in with his hand

    he admitted it even.

    Copa America Final

Having read posts earlier on SBR that Messi was the GOAT of international soccer, (better than Pele, blah, blah)
I was expecting to see flashes of brilliance at the minimum.
After the ridiculous 1H officiating and the ho-hum presence of the 'great" Messi, the American Cup Final was a lackluster presentation.

I felt good about my Chile +0.5.

The shots that this clown took during the game and the shoot-out were all field-goal type moon-shots.
Seems to me that soccer's GOAT should be able to find the hanger-sized net to make a score.

Congrats to Team Chile for playing as a cohesive team throughout the match and bettering Argentina
    in the shoot-out.
Team play looks like a proven formula against the arrogant Argentinians the last 2 Cups.

Well maybe he just doesn't have the skill as he once did or the focus that is required in these kinds of contests. I guess skill is silly because he isn't just going to lose it completely especially at only 29 but perhaps he just didn't have the intensity required to seal the deal is my guess. I didn't watch it or anything but guys that are amazing sometimes are human. I saw he wants to give up soccer now and he is smart because he may not be able to provide the same focus and intensity as in his past so why hang on anyway. Good luck to him in the future.
