The only ones that matter are the eurocup and the world cup that come around 4 years. They are staggered in between one another every 2 years and they make for the best soccer in the world

Geez. Thanks for the heads up lakerboy. Without Vincent that back line is below average. Ugh

Doubt it. He has no help on national squad. He will be man marked out of most games.

Anyone have any specific insight on Austria? Like England they crushed it in the qualifying rounds. Hopefully they won't choke, unlike England. Their impact players seem a bit long in the tooth.

Austria is my darkhorse. They have strong central defenders but the right back is weak. The keeper is solid and the midfield is decent. Janko is a good striker a they have good backups. The group is tricky but as long as they win the openin match vs Hungary they should be fine. I took them to make the semifinal.

Hey lakerboy I see austria at a pk right now for the opener against Hungary. I'm sure that line will move to 1/4 or half as the date gets closer?

I see they are -0.5 /-1 at pinnacle and -132 on the ml. The draw is +267 which is high.

    Anyone liking Italy at 19.00?
Yes their midfield and attack is shallow. However, the italians do have a brick wall in defence (buffon, chiellini, bonucci, barzagli). They could easily edge through to the semis or finals on the back of 1-0 wins.

I must agree, but with the players they have, it's worth a shot.
Spain has been in decline for the past few years (although it seems they're starting to pick up form), Germany... Well they lost to Slovakia 1:3 + their only goal was a penalty. Of course, can't make any assumptions based on one game, but they weren't really convincing during the qualification.
France - no way. I would much rather say that THEY don't have the guts for it + the pressure to win it all in a tournament that is held in your country..... We all remember what happened to Brazil.

    But we shall see!

    England and Belgium for me

Switzerland and Austria as dark horses for a few bucks

Kompany hasn't been right for a while now...always injured. They have a few decent center backs anyway and strong enough defense with a top class keeper. Great attacking options as well

Lakerboy get off the soccer forum you mutt...You know nothing about this sport.

It ll come down to fitness more than anything after a very long season.

If youre set on having a stake in futures LOOK AT THE BRACKET...There is no draw in these tournaments and the potential matchups are already set...That being said FRANCE has quite an easy way to the final if they top their group and are almost fixed into a semi final birth.

I would back Germany, Spain, Croatia and England after that...Greece was a 1 off...never happen again in football!
