Would you risk £10,000 on the Cavs to win the Series against Toronto for £200 profit?

This is important question for me.
My Skrill VIP status is Silver so it allows me to deposit/withdraw with my card without fees - so I simply deposit £4,000 (my credit limit), withdraw back to the bank, pay the card as soon as the transaction appears (within 1-2 days) - this way I make around 16,000 British Airways miles (Avios) without any risk every week. (around 60,000 Avios per month).

But in order for me to keep on getting miles like this I must keep my Skrill status as Silver - thus I have to transact around £12,000 approx. every quarter.

I was thinking of depositing £10,000 with one big bookmaker, bet on the Cavs to win the Series against Toronto at odds of 1.02 - in order to win £200 (the £200 is just extra bonus, the main goal is to keep on having Skrill fee free so I could get more miles at least until the end of September this year).

So the big question is - would you risk £10,000 on the Cavs against Toronto?
Forget about the odds, it's not for betting - it's just to keep on getting free miles - but for that I must deposit and bet on something, anything - so I'm looking for risk free bet as much as possible - would you say the Cavs are guaranteed to win against Toronto?!?!

Nothing in life is guaranteed but death. Way too much juice. You're better off betting ML than series. An injury can kill a series bet but not hurt an adjusted game line as much. GS ML bet tonight is a great spot but CLE ML tomorrow isn't as risky.

Better off arbitrage betting to get that profit maybe take u 15 minutes of extra work with no risk. Should be very easy if u dont live in the us

But again everyone thinks arbitrage betting is in the past if all the chnages made in the industry. I guarrentee you can find 10-12 arbs a day for 2-3% easy

Yes, I would. You actually think Toronto has a chance against the Cavs???

It's not a matter of if they beat them...

It's a matter of when the series ends.

I don't want to risk 10,000... I'm just looking to deposit, bet on something "safe" and withdraw... I'm just wondering if Cavs to win the series is really "Safe"??

Could be the worst bet of all time.

They are up 1-0 in the series.

    I wouldn't lay -5000 if they were 3-0

What if Lebron goes down with a serious knee injury?

    $10,000 to win $200

    For the love of God.

I can't see Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson either. Or USA Hockey beating the Russians. Shit happens, always have a plan B.

Nothing in gambling is totally "Safe". Have a plan in mind. I would look to make 3 or 4 high level bets that will get you to your goal. I rather play 4 high level 3,000 bets each versus 1 10,000 series bet. Let's say you take GS tonight. 3,000 will win you ~600. If you lose you can double up on GS in game 3 and pretty much hit your goal. I really don't see GS losing the next 2 games but that's the risk you take. I don't see Cleveland losing the next 2 or 3 games as well so I would look to play them and double then triple up if they lose (which can get very expensive quickly but I don't see either team losing multiple games back to back to back.

    Thanks for your advice, Mac.
Skrill has sent an email yesterday about changes to the VIP thing, which is now better.
They are removing the loyalty points (which I don't bother with), but now all the activity in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (April-May-June) will determine the status for the 3rd quarter of 2016.

So so far I made £3,300 of deposits to merchants.
Today at live I deposited another £900 and tried to pick GS in ML and then by the time I deposited the bookie shut the bets so I took GS in 3rd quarter only (they led by 12 points, still risky!) £900 to win £9 ... it's good.

So made £4,200 of deposits so far .... I need to bet another £8,000 and then I get tons of miles to earn for free .... just need to look for those 1.01 bets which are "sure" thing but even GS in the 3rd wasn't a sure thing, nothing is sure in life, darn!

Anyway thanks for your advice - never put all your eggs in 1 basket, maybe will throw another £1,000 on Cavs for the series - then just need £7,000 to spend more and let's get those 250k miles

Heck if you can do Live bets then you should be able to hit the minimum easily. A lot of times you can get a Live line that can effectively cancel out a game line. Do that a few times and you're set.

Damn, 900 to win 9 is Crazy... Congrats.

Yes, I don't care about the odds, just want to find all those "safe" bets, place them and be done with it.

What do you say about £1,000 to win £20 on the Cavs to win the series?
The only thing about American sports I don't like is that after the favorites won so heavily (Cavs yesterday and GS today) there could always be surprises or tight game so ... dunno .... what do you say - go for it anyway? (I can afford to lose £1,000 ... it's not the same as £10,000 anyway).

I don't like it at all. What if Cleveland loses Lebron and Kyrie to injury like the Clips lost Paul and Blake in the same game? Too many things can go wrong in a 7 game series. I'd much prefer betting 900 to win 100 on Cavs ML tomorrow night.

Why not risk $5 on Raptors to win series?

    Risk $100,000 to win $200?

Or risk $5 to win $200?

Because I'm not looking for the profits, I'm looking just to swipe my card with any merchant that is using Skrill - but the problem is for money laundering purposes you can't deposit funds into a bookmaker and then withdraw, you HAVE to place at least 1 bet - so I'm just looking to find that bet that would be the "safest" thing that you could ever find .... bet it, withdraw .... and then use my Skrill to keep on generating tons of miles!

What do you guys think about £1,000 on Hillary Clinton to become the Democratic Nominee (against Sanders or Biden), risking £1,000 to win £50 - is that a "safe" bet?

Hillary is an immortal deadbolt lock...unless she drops down dead or goes to jail. Would that cancel the bet.

That's fine, the bet is on the Democratic nominee, not who wins the presidency, so I could care less what Sanders does - so go for it then???

This is about the "surest" bet you'll find. She will be the Democratic nominee barring death. i'D go for it in your case but, how long will your money be tied up? If they nominate her this week do you get paid or do you have to wait until July 25th?
