Washington's odds might have improved with Scott Brooks going there. Don't tell me that this possibility wasn't in the back of management's mind when they hired Brooks.

Wiz are a bit of a mess. Beal is a RFA now and they'll likely have to pay ~$20M to retain him. sure he's young, but has that really weird leg injury that's never healed right and may never will. Gortat and Nene are both slugs who are painful to watch and neither belong anywhere near a starting job in the NBA. and then you have Otto Porter who's been an enormous disappointment and will be a RFA in 2017. Wiz have been wanting to move him, but despite being a high-IQ and character guy he simply can't shoot or defend the wing. Beal and Porter were both #3 picks, so this is less than ideal for the Wiz.

Guy needs to be more of a point guard and less of a guy trying to generate his own offense. He's so explosive and good at getting to he rim, it blows my mind how many outside shots he takes.

His career shooting % when he is more than 3 feet from the basket is 40% and the further away he gets from the paint, the worse it gets. Seems crazy that Brooks or Donovan never said "Russell, I am sorry but you're not a shooter but you don't need to be with the group we have."

He could be the most dangerous drive and dish threat in the league. I love watching the guy play when he plays well because he is such an impressive athlete but I blame his stubbornness for most of Oklahoma City's woes.

I think a finals appearance would be enough to keep him around. They could be the first team ever to beat two teams with 80%+ win percentage in the playoffs.

Crazy to think about given that only 6 of 16 teams with 80%+ WinPct seasons didn't win the championship.

He is going to sign a one year deal in OKC regardless of what happens.

You guys and your speculation....if cares so much about Wasnington, he wouldn't have played college ball at Texas.

A finals appearance looks to be a foregone conclusion.

I still think there's a chance he leaves if they don't win it all. Who knows, he could even leave if they do. It's all speculation, nobody knows anything except Stephen A Smith.

    Yes this will happen.

I mean long term, I think he's likely to stick around if they can keep this group together somehow.

was that his last home game for OKC?

considering how awful he was and IF the Warriors win Game 7, could it be the perfect storm for him to leave?

personally, i hope he stays for 1 more year either way.

Durant could make a projected $228M over the next 6 seasons if he stays in OKC.

or, he could make up to $176M over 5 years if he leaves the Thunder either this summer or in 2017.

It works out to be about 6/211m if he signs elsewhere not that huge of a difference. Also he could make more endorsement money being in a bigger market.

He will probably sign a one year deal with a player option. I've been saying this all year.

He will make the most money by staying in OKC and he won't have any better of a shot at winning a ring by going anywhere else.

As for your comment about making more endorsement money by going to a bigger market....this isn't the 1980s. He can make just as much money in OKC with endorsements and what not. You have no clue what you're talking about.

Durant is currently #2 in endorsements behind Lebron.

Why would he want to goto a crappy team that can't even get passed the second round in the crappy East?

Wrong. Boston is going to make the pitch. They have a history/ a great coach and a team environment. Durant might be stay in okc cause he likes it there but westbrook and him aren't going to win together.

Lebron stays in the NBA final because he is in the East. I wouldn't be surprised if Durant went to the Heat. Bulls and Knicks don't stand a chance. Maybe the Wizards, but if KD wanted to play for Brooks, he would have stayed the coach in OKC.
