This sounds like an excuse for why he lost. He never complained about promoting before when he was winning. You are talking about a guy who loves to be in the spotlight and the center of attention. In my opinion he doesn't want to promote because it is going to be tough to do because his opponent already kicked his ass. It's tough to talk shit on a guy that made you tap.

I agree with your statement. All of his trash talk has been before wins. This one will be tough to talk about cause, like you said, Nate already broke him.
I also think Conor should have spoken to Dana and worked this out before it became an issue. Conor could have cut back on the 1 on 1 interviews and the numerous other media requests but to stay way completely... well that's not right either.

Conor's grandstanding is 50% of the reason why he was making the money that he was. Now he is complaining about promoting the fight because it is taking away from his training? This is the first time that I can recall any fighter complaining about promoting their own fight. When you are guaranteed millions of dollars win or lose, they are paying you to promote the fight. I don't know where he is getting this "not paid to promote" crap from. And why wouldn't he want to promote it to benefit himself? Doesn't he get PPV points?

What can he possibly say this time around? It's smart for him to stay away. Then he can't get called on his trash talking.

I am just trying to do my job and fight here.

There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop.
50 world tours, 200 press conferences, 1 million interviews, 2 million photo shoots, and at the end of it all I'm left looking down the barrel of a lens, staring defeat in the face, thinking of nothing but my incorrect fight preparation. And the many distractions that led to this.
Nothing else was going through my mind.
It is time to go back and live the life that got me this life.
Sitting in a car on the way to some dump in Conneticut or somewhere, to speak to Tim and Suzie on the nobody gives a penetrate morning show did not get me this life.
Talking to some lady that deep down doesn't give a penetrate about what I'm doing, but just wants some sound bites so she can maybe get her little tight ass a nice raise, and I'm cool with that too, I've been giving you all raises. But I need to focus on me now.
I'm coming for my revenge here.
I flew an entire team to Portugal and to Iceland to make my adjustments in preparation and fix my errors I made with the weight and the cardio prep.
With the right adjustments and the right focus, I will finish what I started in that last fight.
I will not do this if I am back on the road handing out flyers again.
I will always play the game and play it better than anybody, but just for this one, where I am coming off a loss, I asked for some leeway where I can just train and focus. I did not shut down all media requests. I simply wanted a slight adjustment.

Ever placed on him, and gave many reasons why he could lose, I bet diaz after the first round, gassing wasn't one of the reasons I expected, but he did gas and the lesser skilled fighter took advantage of it and made me money.

Exactly right, no one knocks diaz out cold, after seeing him take 9 of Connors left hands, atleast 4 of them clean. McGregor takes away the legs and mobility of diaz, allowing him to land more cleanly, more often the accumulation of shots will drop diaz and allow mcgregor the benifit of either subbing him out or getting the ref to pull him off by undefended gnp, either late 3rd or early 4th The sub line in around plus 3000,and with a equal amount wagered on the ko,offcourse and far amount more on mcgregor straight....fight will go exactly as it should have in the first matchup if mcgregor had made the correct preparations and gamplan, and didn't underestimate his op, and didn't fight like he never had before, like lombard...
