Serious question LB. Do you look at the lineup of games every day and pick the least likely scenario and then make a thread about it? I understand that 10% of the time that approach works 100% of the time.

It's like LB sat there thinking, what's the dumbest thing I could post that people still might reply to?

"Clippers to win the West? Hmm no, not quite dumb enough. Thunder to beat the Spurs AND Warriors? Hmm close, but I know I can still get dumber. Ah ha! Thunder to win JUST the West, but not for the NBA title!"

Congrats on your mind-numbingly stupid thought process.

It really comes down to a few things for okc:

    1. Can they close out games. Can they finish games in the last 3 minutes? Or will they go to that loser-iso ball? They went toe-to-toe with gs and sa in the regular season but fell apart at the end.

    2. Can Billy Donovan coach in the playoffs?

    3. Will they defend

    1. Maybe, but not in SA or GS
    2. He couldn't coach all season, so I doubt he starts now.
    3. Not in the OKC playbook.

    I agree, I think you're right.

Therefore he's only getting value if Golden State gets knocked out before the Western Conference finals.

OKC's athleticism will be tough on the Spurs. As for a potential Warriors matchup, OKC played them extremely tough during the regular season. OKC's length helped in those matchups.

I'm hoping Golden State put too much into the regular season and gets the hell beat out of them by the Clippers.

Ironically, out of all the games I've watched OKC play, I give them a better chance against the Warriors and Spurs than I do the Cavs. The head to head with Lebron against KD is ridiculously in Lebron's favor and the Cavs have won something like 7 straight against OKC.

I'll be in Vegas May 11th through the 13th. I might put some money down on OKC for the hell of it.

With all this talk I still think the Thunder are what they are.....a really good team that is probable the 4th best in the NBA.

I will say that if OKC gets past SA/GS, I doubt they'd have much left for whoever came out of the East, so I understand why you have them winning the West but not the finals. Honestly I think I'd rather face the Spurs than OKC, they've always been a bad matchup for the Warriors. I'm hoping the Spurs take them out, really don't see them going out early with possibly their best team ever, especially after last year's let down.

People need to chill with the LB hate on this one.....Durant and Westbrook is a better combo than anything any other team has to offer overall

People can talk about closing out games but just on sheer talent you can't beat that

They also are all healthy this time around and have played the other top teams in the West tough all year.

They're not favored to get by the Spurs in round 2 but would anyone be that surprised? Beating GS would then be tough but it's a live dog bet IMO

    I'll be rooting for them

I love OKC but they always disappoint. Now they don't even have home court against Dallas. I still expect them to win this series, but that's about it.

Typical Durrant he just cannot play well when it counts… Oklahoma State city is one-dimensional jump shooting team and I guess they just cannot win

    Yeah 1 game LB.
BUT their crunch time inefficiency is in their DNA and not going away.
When this team gets smacked in the face, they have no answer.

I have flip flopped a ton on this team Hated Westbrooks antics a few years ago and actually thought he had emotional issues. At the time I thought KD was cool and a superstar in the making. Now, seems like KD will always have a hard time being a true leader as a 98 pound weakling. Russ on the other hand, seems to be maturing, but still could cut down on the "Magilla Gorilla" act until they actually win something.

With Paul out and Steph hurt....hmmm...can they get past ole man river???

Think they better beat the spurs in 6. Not sure they will be able to win a 7 @ SA.
They looked good first round, even late in games, BUT it was against the walking wounded Mavs.

They had no need to play hard vs dallas. Why would they waste energy there?

true.. true.. im just saying playing no defense and just trying to outscore your opponent wont work for shit against SA or GS.

Spurs are old. Thunder too quick for them. Durant will dominate them. Now westbrook has Cubans words to mingle with.

Pinny has the series price right now at:

    OKC +234
    SA -270

No but it's -300 now. Apparently all the early money is on spurs. That's what happened last time they met in the playoffs.

Yeah its a lot higher, I was expecting SA to be about -240.

I'm guessing we will see lines of SA around -7/-7.5 at home, and probably Thunder as short faves in OKC. I still like SA in the series, but I think it goes at least 6, maybe even 7. Kawhi will limit Durant, Westbrook will have to play out of his mind for OKC to move on.
