    Sorry that happened .

Claim unemployment asap no shame in it it is money you have earned. Dont be a stubborn bitch about it like stealthyburrito.

I personally feel gambling is the worst thing one can do when facing instability. But if you do, take the kings puckline tonight.

agreed.. depression and anxiety don't help with gambling.. and I can't imagine you have a real bankroll put together so that you can attack your bookie..

You need to conquer your mental fitness ASAP.

Clean up your resume, start posting and asking around for jobs..

In the meantime.. start a heavy cardio regiment .. it will keep your body sound and your mind clear.

Nothing like runner's high and feeling good about a workout to take your mind of the shit of the world..

    good luck

Gambling will compound your problems exponentially. Extra stress and 95% chance you will lose more money than you are bringing in.

Get out there immediately and start putting in applications! Companies love it when you show ambition and try to stay employed instead of the legions of lazy f#*ks who max their unemployment any time they get let go. Take the time to apply for benefits too just in case nothing pops up. But its always best to jump right back on the horse. Good luck! And skip the gambling, minor bets at best. No need to make life harder than it is. If you gamble because you NEED the money then you start changing how you bet.

Could go either way I believe - the fact you were laid off through no fault of your own I know works for you. I'd certainly look into it.

Actually not true unless you have donated to the state you live in unemployment fund from your 1099 earnings. You're in essence an independent contractor

What do you do now? Is it the kind of thing where your contract will be picked up by the company that won the work? See it all the time so its not rare where that happens. If you like what you do/are willing to keep doing it - I would immediately contact the company that won the work and get on their radar. Worst thing that happens is you increase your network.

sorry guy that sucks. I hope that you can turn this into a positive. Right now you feel like crap but you never know, if you're young and ambitious with some common sense and drive you can turn this into a positive. Maybe your future will be better because of this. I know right now you don't want to hear this stuff but in a few days face the situation, do an inventory of ideas make an educated decision and start a new life.

    we all wish you luck.

Yep. People get all upset when they lose their job, only to find out that better jobs have been hiring this whole time.

And I hope you weren't serious iceman, gambling for a living is for retards, save the .00001% that are smarter than everyone else.

i think there's an ad out there somewhere about a guy in NJ looking for a roommate. His interests are gambling and sex....if interested, there's a couple of pics of him floating around showing his chest on SBR. I hope you aren't interested in intelligence though.
