This is where we held my fantasy baseball draft

That's how we roll in my league! The Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, NY.

I'd be happy to do this, but SBR seems to have changed something about the pic-inserting, because every time I try I'm told I need to shrink the pic to super-tiny size. If I get my pics up on a site and use the URL, that seems like it would be better, but I haven't done that yet.

I have two pics of us drafting and one of me receiving our league's trophy for winning last year.

Will try this again another way and hope for the best... two pics of drafters/draft room, then me receiving the Egerton Cup.

Okay, let's try using tiny pic.com for fukk's sake... last try... two pics of drafters in room, one pic of me getting trophy. Nothing like spending time so a bunch of internet strangers can see a few pics they don't care about! And yet here I am.

Incidentally, don't you f'n hate when people grab your fingers instead of shake your hand?! WTF is with that? Commish is a good dude (despite being a Met fan) but needed a slap for this behavior.

Also, there are some serious fat fukks in my league now, as you can see. My good friend and college roommate used to be like 170 and is now 278. Half the league has vowed to drop at least 50 lbs by next draft! (I'm 200 but 5'10" w decent frame. I could stand to lose 15 for sure though.)

Finally, that trophy has been in our league since 1988, boys! It has necessarily required additions, a la the Stanley Cup! Tradition, men! This league was there at the dawn of fantasy sports!

Still would have preferred Vegas. But then again if you guys hit one of the buffets, one of those big boys might have had a heart attack. If you need a replacement for when goes down, I may be interested.

Well, I've never tried daily fantasy myself, I keep thinking I might (if it doesn't fold soon)... but season-long fantasy leagues are a lot of work if you want to maintain your best possible team, so I hear you, it's definitely easier just capping individual games.

Ha! Too true. I do love Vegas though, I try to go once a year. Don't think my baseball league has ever had a Vegas draft, I may have to suggest that. Although next year is already locked in for Memphis, TN. Oughtta be interesting. Okie-doke, I will keep you in mind, sir!

thats actually partially on you, hoss. Go in for a firm handshake and press your thumb down on the top of their hand. Like right in between the thumb and wrist. Aim for it. If they want to do that finger grabbing shit you'll crush their hand. They'll come away from the handshake thinking you're more the man and wonder what they're doing wrong in life

Sure thing, fellas. To note about my league:

It is 14 teams, two divisions of 7. We draft 28 players each; at all times you'll have 12 starting offense and 8 starting pitchers that must be distributed as follows:

1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 2B-3B-or-SS, LF, CF, RF, OF, any hitter, any hitter, C

SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, any pitcher

We use 7 offensive categories and 6 pitching: AVG, OBP, SLG, runs, HR, RBI, SB-CS... ERA, W, W%, WHIP (but we include HBP), K, S-BS.

And our eligibility rules are much more stringent than a lot of leagues. A guy can't just be any position because he had a cup of coffee there last year. He has to have played more than 50% of his games there this year, or at least 50% of the past two weeks' games.
