I was wondering if anyone else ever experienced something to this. I placed a live wager on the first play of the 8th drive of the Patriots and Broncos game. The wager was on "1st Play - 8th Drive will result in:a rush for a gain." The first thing that happened on the 8th drive was an offside penalty on the defense. The ball was never snapped so no play ever occurred. NFL.com clearly states NO PLAY. The first play that did occur resulted in a rush for one yard. The book I play at is claiming I did not win because of the penalty. The terminology on their website clearly states, "1st Play - 8th Drive will result in:a rush for a gain." I am not really sure how they are grading the wager as a loss when a play never occurred.
- Rush for a gain
- Pass for a gain
- Any other result
But my point is the ball was never snapped on the penalty and a play was never played, yet the site is claiming the "any other result" was the winning wager because of the penalty.
