BigD this has to be OKC's year. Out of excuses now as long as they stay relatively healthy.

Yeah. I've only been saying that the last four years....I can't use the "they're only 22-23 years old" anymore.

It's going to be really depressing if they don't make the finals this year and Durant leaves. People around here seem to think he is going to stay because "he likes it here".....I'm not as optimistic. If I was 27 and could go make a shit ton of money in LA or New York, I would do it. The only thing that might make him stay is if he really wants a ring and he thinks OKC is is best shot.

I think the Washington rumors are way overblown. Lebron James went back home but but I think that had more to do with him having a good chance to win a ring there than anything. If Cleveland was so important to James, he would have never left in the first place. As for the Durant Maryland connection, he sure as hell didn't want to stay close to home when he went to Texas to play college ball. I think the fact that Washington is a decent team would hold more weight than "going home".

Also, Westbrook is a free agent next year....I could totally see him going home to LA. He is from there, went to UCLA, and loves the fashion scene.

This team looked like it was going to be a dynasty a few years ago.

    Durant
    Westbrook
    Harden
    Ibaka

Are you kidding me? That's like three potential MVP candidates who are top 5 players in the world and another guy this probably a top 20 player. If they really don't win anything it's going to suck.

    I'm in pre-meltdown mode already.

    I worry about KD's foot

His bone structure isn't that of Westbrooks or Ibakas. My instincts tell me KD misses a few stretches of this season, and honestly maybe every season he plays from here forward.

    I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Totally agree. Foot injuries can be career wreckers

    Wiz,

Is the real Tony Parker back?

Last year Tony Parker was just not himself. I don't know if it was injury or him on the decline, but they would have rolled to a championship had he showed up.

Probably not. Flashes when healthy but I think he'll always have lingering injuries.

I'm not so sure Aldridge fits but Pop will make it work. Aldridge is at his best when you feed him and let him ISO on the left side. This kind of goes against their crisp ball movement offense. He can pick and pop though with his very good midrange game.

Spurs going nowhere. Aldridge was not a good move.

The contract isn't that bad though. I agree with the principle though.

Aldrige is best PF in basketball

Impossible to guard 1 on 1

Healthy Tony Parker = a ring

    No Parker, no chance

Leonard and Aldrige is dangerous duo though.

if i had to pick i would say Cavs win it all.

I dont think there are many teams that have a legit shot to win it all because the nba sucks at parity
    Cavs
    Warriors
    Spurs
Okc(it would take a miracle run though)

All the other teams are the same pretenders theyve always been leading with the clippers and houston. Always going to be in it but not going to achieve

They were the healthiest team in the West last year, if they can stay healthy they'll be back in the Finals again. Injuries will weed teams out of the West. Same with the Cavs, keep most of the roster off the IL and they'll be there. Cavs are being very cautious with LeBron, the regular season is a marathon.

This years Spurs team is not much better than last years Blazer team. Parker/Manu/Green/Duncan are just average players at this point.
