While parts of what he did may be sick, it's also sick to crucify him for it and bash him from our moral high ground. Dogfighting is not outlawed everywhere, there are customs of ours other countries would find sick too I'm sure. I think many animal lovers believe these dogs would make cute little family pets. Dead wrong. Most of these dogs are mean and vicious to begin with. They may be trained further, but you can't train a sheep to fight like a wolf.

It's not even the fact that Vick was cruel to animals that bothers me as much as how absolutely moronic him and a big percentage of pro athletes and celebrities are and their even more idiotic fans still worship them.

If Vick and the other idiot athletes and celebs were on Let's make a Deal they would have won the grand prize and would have traded it in for the small box Jaye Stewart would have presented where Monte Hall would have said,you know you already have won the most expensive prize and there could be a zonk in the box.Sure enough,there is pit bull shit pie in the box.

To people like Vick who squander money and have a dependent blood sucking posse,the 20 mill in ill gotten gains he probably has left will be gone in no time.Then these dumb ass ESPN types are all worried about his future earning potential if he never plays football again.Here supposedly is a guy that grew up dirt poor and he has to worry that 20 million will be gone in no time.It tells me that allot of poor people like Vick growing up were high maintenance people the tax payer probably spent a fortune on in every entitlement program under the living sun. A kid just out of college with a meaningfull degree and lots of loans to pay back will earn about 1/4th of the money each year in salary that the tax payer spent in a year on Vick as a kid.I see and hear of it everyday where some kid from the government housing projects has a pimple on his butt and his momma takes him to the clinic and the bill comes to 2 grand.I know this for a fact that when street people who tax payers feel sorry for pass out from drinking too much on the street and get taken to the hospital it costs a few grand just to have them dry out for a couple days.They would have achieved the same results of sobering up if they would have slept it off in a barn on hay bales.All of the social service and medical industry poverty pimps love these high maintenance people so they can make a handsome living.

If I were a normal thinking and decent person in sports and had to be around the masses of idiots like Vick all day,I would take my 2 or 3 million in 1st year salaray and signing bonus and fake a neck injury and go and move in a log cabin in the boonies and live my entire life in normal surroundings away from the madness.Being normal and decent in pro sports and entertainment is like being Eddy Albert in Green Acres where you are the normal one and everyone else is nutty but you are looked upon as the oddball.

I have always thought Vick stunk at QB anyway. Petrino is the real deal. I still think atlanta has a chance at a 8-8 season. Give this guy 3 years and a new QB and hopefully they can forgot about that A sshole Vick!

you are comparing executing dogs to iraq??? the guy slammed dogs to the ground and murdered them. they were found injured, and crippled at his place...that is totally different than killing animals for food.

Exactly. They signed up to defend our country, not to establish a democracy in Iraq, aka make sure we protect our other interests there. Many of these young people were misled, take Pat Tillman for an example, he genuinely believed what George Bush declared to be true. He believed Iraq was harboring WMD's and was complicit in the attack on our soil, and plotting future attacks against us. This goes for many of the soldiers. This was not the case, and the government knew it.

The compensation you referenced is also very poor. The army helps with college, and for some qualified enlistees they offer nice bonuses, but many strings are attached such as adequate ASVAB scores, HS diploma or college etc. The base pay itself shouldn't even be called compensation for these enlisted soldiers. So while you want to prove your point, you can do so without making baseless statements suggesting these soldiers knew what they were signing up for, and are so very compensated for it.

I have learned not to believe everything a guy is accused of. Its pretty much a fact that prosecutors exaggerate considerably. He did something wrong that's a given. But he may have had a smaller role. They are out to hang him and hang him they will.

You have to keep in mind these dogs are fighting dogs. Pit Bulls that will tear your nuts off given a chance. If the dog will not fight then they kill it like a hunting dog that wont hunt. After a dog has been trained to fight its no good to anyone as a pet. How humanly they killed the dogs is a concern. I have a Maltese that jumps up in my lap and pees all over herself when i walk in the door because shes so excited: however I've also sent a few hunting dogs that didnt pan out to bigger and better hunting grounds. I see both sides of this and I'm in no shape form or fashion a Vick fan but a death penalty from the NFL is a bit over board. If we are kicking players out for killing Dogs whats next DUIs Drug Charges Domestic Abuse we should watch our step here it is a slippery slope. Should an NFL player be a model for our kids ? I could care less as long as he plays ball well his personal life is his.

He had amazing legs and a very powerful arm, but his accuracy needed work and his WR's have usually not provided much help. He was pretty much the only reason they almost won that game versus Dallas in Atlanta on Saturday night.
