I feel your pain. Tonight, I have StL+7x and Oak+7x in different teasers. It can really tear a guy apart.

does anyone know the statistics on middling? just want to know if there is any documented success failure rate.

Why not? Gambling is 50% psychological.

So you took a play and later decide you didn't like it and took a small lass/no gain instead?
                                            Otherwise it makes no sense.

No RP, that's not what we're talkng about at all. And the subsequent talk of middling or having opposite teams in teasers is also entirely beside the original point.

JJ gave away money and took both sides so he would know something - anything - would win. Apparently he loses a lot and he feels that having a WIN - any win - in this game will directly effect the outcomes of future games he bets on.

if you do $5 on each side, who cares about losing pennies?

i understand where people are coming from when saying "it's a guaranteed loss"...if a win increases his confidence it may help him to think better when picking future games, and may stop the chasing...it's physcological...if it works..then do it.

Coach understands that gambling is as much psychological as it is emotional. He knows what it takes to be a long-term winner so I would not question his techniques and motives. Picking a winner tonight will help him get going and probably help him sleep a bit better.

Congrats again Coach keep up the good work....

Makes no sense at all, how are you a winner? you lose juice regardless. Bunch of nonsense. Really see no way how that dictates your next plays.

JJ's mindset is the same as going out after a long dry spell and nailing a fat chick. You feel like a loser and in reality you are a loser but you wake up the next morning ready to take on the world. Baby batter on the brain is a dangerous thing.

Hope you come out of your funk JJ!!!

Coach knows what he's doing. He was in a slump and by picking that winner his win percentage went up for the week. Now he's ready for a hot streak.

I took the winner side and counted it as my last bet so then going into the next day I was 1-0. DOes anyone see this logic?

No. It seems strange to give away EV to get a confidence boost.
