You can pretty much eat for free if you wanted to as a Caesars' Properties Total Rewards Diamond Card holder.

Like all the nickel and dime jobs in Vegas, they started charging for the Diamond Lounges but if you get to the right tier, you aren't charged. I just got back from Tahoe and didn't really pay for food, at all.

I wouldn't say it's free, necessarily, you need to gamble to get it, but it's not a bad deal all around once you qualify.

I ran a couple hundred thru a slot machine just to get enough pts on my card for a bar-b-grill "accessory kit" once.... fortunately hit a last-minute bonus on a buck owens quick hits machine to make a profit on the slots and get the free fukkin' tools I'll never use..... f'n giant tongs and spear-like fork and one other piece of shit I don't even remember.... threw them in the back of a kitchen closet when I got home and haven't seen them since.....

if I hadn't hit that bonus, that shit would've cost me $200 bucks!

Exactly, but once your comped in, there really are no other expenses. It only takes a few trips to get there. It's just a regular piece of the pie, always has been for me.

Vegas has some of the best restaurants in the country.........treat yourself, and eat at a few of them. ANyone can comp up, and get free buffets/sportsbook food, but if you can afford to get to Vegas and stay there, then you can afford to treat yourself to a few nice meals.

I agree with this. It's nice to get comped, and sometimes, like this week in Tahoe, we were comped at the nice restaurant.

It's a good idea to check out some of those restaurants, and get away from the players club offerings. There was a thread started about Vegas restaurants, it was a good thread.

I'll be in Vegas this weekend and I won't even be staying at a Caesars property...lol.

Not really, not always. Maybe if you are sitting on the floor all night and they walk over and comp breakfast, but once you get into some of those tiers, it can be good. There are perks that are valuable.

I can go without gambling for a long time and still get everything free. All those bullshit resort fees, I never see them. I don't see any fees, room charges, nothing I can stay expense free for several days. I don't even need to gamble anymore and get these invites all the time. I am set for many, many months. There was some grinding, down a little, but not like you would think. Total Rewards are great once you get to a certain tier.

I don't really like some of that grind gambling anymore, but it's fun with friends. I can spend hours in a casino without playing, but the Progressive Video poker and a few choice slots can get you the points. It's worth it. We have a lot of fun, it's entertainment and they take care of us.

It's worth it in the end and not every trip is a losing one. This last trip was a good trip when it came to gambling. I won a little bit many times and came out ahead, even though I threw and lost a shitload at the Progressive Video Poker, trying to get the big one. It was getting high and pretty much due to hit.

    Never got it.

If you know the right people you can. I made friends with one of the PAD employees in one of the strip hotels and every time I would go in the book, I would get all the discarded drink tickets and drink for free all day.

Pit boss comps.. Just ask and you will receive if you are on the tables playing $100 black chips.. Especially if you've been planted on the black jack table for an hour or more...

You'll get your free meals... You may also be down $1000's in bank roll as well..

Playing at a table for awhile (not necessarily $100 chips) tipping the dealers as you play will make it easier to get comps also. When I play craps, I make sure my center bets include a bet for the dealers (along with bonus/fire bets). I've noticed on more than one occasion the pit boss seemed to rate me higher than I actually was playing because I ended up with better comps than I was expecting at the end of the night.

or, flat out suppress your appetite upon arrival in vegas and go on the "nicole ritchie" diet for the 4-5 days you are there......

granted, I have no idea what an 8-ball of ACTUAL blow on the strip might cost, but you could probably eat well on that money during you're stay......

I agree with this. Everyday for a week pay for the "day pass" at the buffet in a casino that has that. they'll give you a bracelet for the day to allow you in all day. the next week they'll use the same color bracelets but on different days. Save the bracelets, ear free after the first week.

Don't be fooled Bear, Sammy is rich. His host at a local casino in CA sent him a pair of high end baseball game tickets. Never heard of a host giving out free tickets to events not hosted/owned by the actual casino. Thus, you know he's a big time player.
