Of course he could but they're tanking for the lottery again.

They acquired Danny Granger in a trade last year and flat out waived him when he had value.

They are trying to lose, why get veterans?

Unless maybe Byron Mullens again. He's good at losing.

The thing is, we've seen many teams tank over the years and they always wind up with some wins anyway.

Same thing with Philly. They have a good shot at the losses record but I still say they win at least 4 games.

refs will help them win a few games at home and maybe one or 2 on the road if they get better later in the season. they've definitely gotten more competitive since mcw came back, I like KJ and when Tony gets back I could see those 3 keeping some games close

you would think they would want to be at least a little competitive to sell some tickets

they figure they're not going to be in the hunt for the playoffs anyway so ticket sales will suffer

they only care about one thing: making sure they lose

they have the worst record locked up now (they have a 4 game lead and with this team they can't possibly blow that lead) so it wouldn't hurt to sign guys

all they need to do is lose at Minnesota to set another record.

Minnesota is without Rubio, Martin, and Pekovic, but still should be solid favorites.

Early money pouring in on the 76ers.

The 76ers haven't been this short of an underdog since they played at home against Orlando early in the season.

Hopefully this magical ride doesn't end tonight. I'm a little worried though.

In order for teams to get good in the NBA (assuming they aren't going to sign some top-tier free agents), first they have to get really, really bad.

Basically I'm rooting for the 76ers.

    This could be the year.

Nah they won't. There are much less bad teams this year though so it might be a tad harder for them. But they'll win 15 or 20.

They should consider a relegation/promotion thing like in soccer. But it would be hard to put into place as there is no real 2nd tier (D League doesn't really apply).

I mean at least they have to stop this bullshit where teams start to think it's better to be bad than average. Stupid concept.

I love how Seaweed nailed when the 2014 76ers would get their first win and nobody gave him credit for it. Such is SBR

You've been here long enough, Schafe, to realize people tend to focus on the negative.

Take a look at the thread title. Sometimes I can be guilty of it myself.

Schafe, on a sidenote, your avatar kind of saddens me. Every time I see it I think one of the greatest posters of all time has resurfaced. And then, come to realize it's only you. Please don't take that the wrong way. As great as you are, pal, you're no Brock Landers.

No offense taken, Giant...it saddens me too. Just trying to keep the legend of Brock alive forever.

I, nor any person that posts here, will ever come close to Brock's status as a legend. First ballot hall of famer.

    Brock will never die.

He's like Fidel Castro, Kirk Douglas, and Don Rickles wrapped up in one beautiful package.

(Those were the first three old guys that came to mind...)

True. Not even bankruptcy court and fraud charges will stand in his way.
