Its an absolute miracle that a country ( Island ) that has a population of 158,000 people can find 11 guys with soccer boots , let alone qualify for a World Cup. Small vacation spot Curacao should be spectators in this group , so the battle is down to 3 teams battling for 2 spots. I think the Germans have transitioned once again , moving on from players like Mueller , Gundogen and Sule. This is a young team with a decent shot of making a run in the tournament once again. Ecuador have played lights out the past 4 years and make a genuine claim to upsetting a team or 2. The Ivory Coast vs Ecuador game on June 14th should be a playoff type of match worth watching.

Curacao is a small Island in the caribbean with a population of 150,000. Somehow this true cinderella side has found 11 men who own soccer boots , and qualified for their first ever Wold Cup. When you look at the other 3 teams in their qualification group , Jamaica , Trinidad & Tobego and Bermuda. They all sound like great destinations for some sandy beaches , fruity umbrella drinks and plenty of R&R. Germany played in a fairly easy group that included Slovakia , N.Ireland and Luxembourg , all of which were beaten soundly by the Germans. This game should see Germany dominating the possession game with players like Musiala and Wirtz , and eventually routing a very tired Curacao side.

I've been a fan of Ecuador the past 2 years. I was ready to back them at decent odds until I looked into Ivory Coast results. Looks like it could be an entertaining game. Just got home. Cold beer and soccer is calling my name

The Spanish " Projected " line up omits both Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams from the starting 11. Both are training with the team and cleared as fully fit. The price on Spain without those 2 seems overly juiced imo. I will await an official line up before i give 2.5 goals
Belgium vs Egypt should be a competitive match. I watched both pre tournament friendlies that Belgium played , both were impressive wins of 5 - 0 over Tunisia and 2 - 0 over Croatia. De Kelelaere ( Atalanta ) played the lions share and Lukaku ( Napoli ) subbed in late , so the starting forward is an unknown at this point. The one glaring advantage for me is the centre of the pitch , where Belgium hold a distinct advantage with De Bruyne / Doku / Trossard , supported by Tielemans and Onana. Egypt counter with 3 players who are familiar with each other playing at Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier Division. Mo Salah ( formerly of Liverpool ) and Marmouch ( Man City ) are international talents in attack , i just dont see the same level of service provided by that midfield. Lean to Belgium and the Over 2.5
Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay just lacks any real appeal for me as a spectator. Uruguay seems the likely choice on paper , the over inflated price isnt warranted imo
Iran are dealing with a # of concerns away from the field. Not sure if it has an impact or not , otherwise im happy to take them at even $$ against an opponent ranked 85th by FIFA.
