Great strategy. Picking teams to top their group because of temperature nice you will win $$$

When you have Renaldo anything is possible.

Germany might be huffin and puffin if the temp is 95 and humid in the Tropical North East of Brazil.

Ronaldo has never been a game changer for Portugal in International competition for some reason.

True enough I'm looking at his whole body of work.

He's never done a whole lot in the Euros or the WC for that matter. As good as he plays in domestic Football you expect a lot more.

portugal doesnt seem that bad of a pick actually, they get out of the group it could easily happen, especially if they can win the group somehow.

Temps will be an important factor in this world cup

but I feel Germany might even be physically more prepared for this than Portugal and they work more as a team also so they could overcome it. Everybody but Ronaldo will probably be huffin and puffin in that game

Except the average June temp in Salvador (where the game is being played) is around 80°.

Actually it was cold in South Africa when the World Cup was played in 2010. They are on the southern hemisphere and their winters are in June/July.

Yes, I'm sure. A simple google search would answer your question. And just like South Africa, all but a tiny portion of Brazil is below the equator, so it's their fall/winter season. Think about it, 40° C is 104° F. That doesn't seem a little high to you?

The world cup will be won by one of the following teams:

    Brazil
    Argentina
    Germany
    Spain

No one else has any chance of winning it as these countries are so far ahead

i did a google search and thats where i found my info...

it was a site talking about the paricular location of this game and the 1pm kickoff.

many players and coaches were asked about the 1pm start in this weather and they all said
    "inhumane"

Somebody on this forum posted that Brazil is an average team and the only reason they are the favorite is b/c of home advantage...

So i guess that not true? they are pretty talented?
