    Stan James?
Anyone use them? I can't even find a rating of them on this site. I thought they were a big British book.

the thing about Stan James is that will allow americans to play there. but, they do not offer them any viable payment transfer methods. as far as there rating here at SBR goes. i feel either bill or john can give a better explanation on this one.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to make sure Neteller is ok for Canadians.

I do not think they offer Neteller at all.

          Dire-Wolf,

SJ is a medium sized book for entertainment betting. Like Dan said, the don't cater to Americans but would let us play. I think wiring the money is the only deposit method a US based player can use. They said they had plans to add Neteller over a year ago.

Last I checked, NBA sides were at a 40 cent line which is double the normal price. Maybe someone who plays their soccer and Euro sports could tell us more.

Stan James used to be a telephone betting operation...they have been online a couple of years.

All in all, a very solid shop, big with UK sports and some opinions in tennis. They used to have high limits, but I've been told now they're quick to limit your action if you 're good.

Their in-running markets are disgustingly weak, especially for something like NCAAB..

Thanks for the info guys. The reason I ask is they have future I like that pays more than 2x as much as I can find anywhere else. I don't see how you could call it a bad line since it's a crazy longshot that's over 6 months away. I'm really just hopping for a good hedge if it gets close.
Would I be asking for trouble if I wired a book like this a couple hundred and put it all on a future and not play any other action. If you have any opinions on this kind of thing it would be greatly appreciated.

The book is perfectly safe, and you wouldn't be at any risk if the line's not bad. I'd be inclined to email and confirm first, as IBAS uphold the books right to use the palpable error rule on bad lines.

I played some soccer and futures with Stan James this year. As mentioned I had to fund my account with bank wire and I had to withdraw via bank wire. They required me to email them my ID and bank statement information to withdraw. I didn't play much US sports, but their soccer was decent, with decent limits. My futures won and I wasn't finding much to play, so I withdrew, but if you don't mind all the delays of bankwire funding might be worth a go.
