    Rollover question
    hello all. I'm relatively new to the online gambling scene and have a question I'm hoping somebody can answer.

    what is the average rollover when given a bonus? I realize it may depend on the size of the bonus so here is the scenario:

    I signed up at Betonstars and got a 100% bonus up to $300 but they require a 20x rollover, which equals $12,000 (($300 deposit + $300 bonus) x 20).

    Is this normal or does this seem high??

    it seems a little high to me in that if I have to wager $12,000 and lose roughly half of the games, I am going to lose more about $600 in juice alone (which was my bonus plus deposit)

    is this how online books make their money back (plus some) when giving bonuses or is 20x a normal amount??

    any help is appreciated. thanks.

    $300 bonus with a 6k roll is good. Specially because the deposit is only 300. BUT...BoS has some shitty rules that come with that bonus, like the "cant lower your average play during a 30 days period" thing...in other words: you have to wager every day, even if you cant find a game you like.

    The BetonStars Bonus is only average because of that, if you are new you might want to check out bonuses from Olympic and other big books first - they dont come with a shitload of rules.

      Damn i did misread that...20x roll of bonus and dep? ok lower the BoS bonus from average to shitty than lol...

      Superb = 100% freeplay with 5x roll or lower (Skybook atm)
      Really great = 20% cash with 3x roll (VIP for example)
      Great= 20% cash with 4x roll (Olympic f.e.)
      Good= 20% cash with 5x
      Good= 10% cash with 3x
      Average = 10% cash with 4x
      Bad = 10% cash with 5x

      And so on...:-P

        The rules on the 100% are pretty hard. After all you are getting 100% cash into your account and we have to cover our back. We have other promotions with lower rollovers.
        You could have received the 25% cash with 5x rollover (only for deposit plus bonus) and no time restrictions, with the 25% cash you can withdraw your winnings anytime.
        The 100% cash is really catchy but the restrictions are hard. The important thing is that you knew about them when you took it.

          Oh and dont forget to observe the lines first - it doesnt help if you get a great bonus, but lay -110 and 20c everywhere...and if there are very few lines to bet on.

            I can't say I knew about all these rules when I took the bonus. I think it was in a reply email to my registration that showed the 20x but I assumed it meant EITHER the deposit or bonus, which would be $6000.

            are you telling me I have to bet everyday for 30 days straight?? I only bet football so thats going to be kind of tough.

            they can take their bonus back for all I care. I'd just play with my own cash if I knew I had to jump through hoops to try and get any money back from them.

              Jay...i dont like at all how the bonus and the rules are displayed at your page.
              I click at the 25% bonus - it shows me the 100%.
              I read the 100% rules - it says 30 active days. It does NOT say cant lower your activity of your average bet amount, thats written elsewhere...

              Better make that clearer, or stay at your D+ IMO

                NO NO NO!! You don't have to bet everyday. You have to have a certain a mounts of active days before you can withdraw, but they don't have to be consecutive.

                  I tried and was told I can't change it. I talked to a guy named John who said he was a manager.

                  like I said before, I don't need the bonus and wouldn't have signed up for it if I knew all of the requirements. Maybe I should've clarified more with the gentleman who signed me up but I did read what it says on the site and not much is mentioned. I thought it was a good deal and expected to have to bet $6000.

                  I'm not a big player in any sense of the word so for me to get to $12,000 in half of a football season is a huge stretch. was just looking for a place to play out the football season and withdraw what was left at the end, if anything.

                  I'd hate to have to start betting on badminton just to get to $12k

                    Jay88, please correct me if I am wrong. The way I understood the rulese were that you need to be an active player over a 1 month period. My guess is that the "average play" rule is there to prevent players from quickly completing the rollover, and then do nothing until the 30 days are up. But as long as you don't stop betting the moment your 12k in action is up, you should be fine.

                    Getting a $300 bonus on a $300 deposit with a 20x roll is not unreaosnable. But if you only have $300, you can also got to three books in the MVP family and get a 100% bonus on $100 with just a 6x roll. SO are thier bonuses that are out there that are better than betonstars, yes. But the bonus structure deos seem fair to both the player and the book.

                      Marc, there are hundreds of places out there where you can get good bonuses with different restrictions. Our 100% cash has hard restrictions on it because a player has much more advantage with $600 than $200 like the MVP example.
                      We have other promotions like the 50% cash that has easier restrictions or just take the 25% cash with 5x over no time restrictions.
                      There are players that do the rollover in no time, it only depends on the amount of action you bet. The time restriction and the avarage amount is simply so we don't have guys that from betting $200 per game all of the sudden bring their action down to $5 per game, like most bonus "whores" do.

                      I explained Jomar that we can't change his bonus structure since he has already won some money into his account and if we take the bonus out we would have to confiscate some of his winnings which wouldn't be fair to him. I'm sure he'll do the rollover requirements in no time, it seems like a lot but he is a good bettor and for sure he'll roll over it before he imagines. We take any risked money into consideration when we count the rollover, it doesn't matter if it is a win, push or lost, any wager he places is counted in the rollover.

                        I would say anything more than 5x rollover is ridiculous...if it's not a huge promotion (like say that skybook offered last week), 3x is about right...otherwise the chances of you ever being able to collect your bonus are very slim...
