Good move. End it today and let him pitch the opener in the NLCS. And -225 speaks volumes.

Strange stuff. It was originally thought LA would go with Kershaw. Then LA announced Nolasco.

Now they go to Kershaw. Was Nolasco experiencing soreness or something or could Mattingly not make up his mind?

    Example of the first announcement:

HardballTalk@HardballTalk 5h Dodgers to start Ricky Nolasco, not Clayton Kershaw, in Game 4 http://wp.me/p14QSL-25PL

Why will this allow him to start game one in the NLCS?

Is there a set date for that series?

Pitching on three days rest after making 122 pitches seems a little risky.

It would give Greinke a chance to pitch game five, on normal rest, but I'm not sure I would trust him in a big spot.

Either way, it's a tough call.

Action should mean parlay is valid, but you get the new line with Kershaw

124 pitches in a night game on Thursday.

    I don't like this decision.

    oh shit... is this confirmed?

Don Mattingly is a fukkin idiot.

He just went from being in control of the series to putting
his team in complete panic mode.

    Nolasco deserves this start.

Kershaw on 3 days rest? r u fukkin kidding me?

this is how it all unravels for the Dodgers.

Kershaw loses tonight ... then what?

your going to trust a kid with social anxiety disorder
to pitch game 5 on the road with the season on the line!?!???

LMAO at Mattingly.. cool calm and collective he is not.

yeah man, no need to panic with a lead. i'd say bring kershaw in the next game.

i bet 12K @ -240 on Kershaw .. they wouldn't give me any break on the line. i think the line is going to move up to -275 by gametime.

    GL everyone.

Hopefully Mattingly isn't the new Dusty Baker, killing his young pitchers.

I don't think I like the decision either. Freddy Garcia sucks.

Kershaw has had 3 days to lay around, smoke dope, fukk bitches, etc.

It's not that big a deal.

Mattingly is stepping on the Braves throats.

122 pitches is a lot. We know Braves can't hit Kershaw on normal rest ,
why trott out Kershaw at less than 100%?

Fine, but then why announce Nolasco originally? I just don't get the late change unless there's something wrong with Nolasco.

Even with it being Kershaw, I would much rather have him pitch at home then risk magic happening in Atlanta in game 5.

Mattingly just trying to shut it down tonight and it is very likely he will.

this is serious stuff - i actually wanted Nolasco to start and i was already heavy on LAD.

if i lose i lose, but this pitching change in playoff time is really rare, and the opportunity is worth it.

gotta go now before the line keeps moving - good luck to everyone here.

It was only one time. He has once appeared on three days rest, out of the bullpen.

That was in his rookie year, 2008. He threw one inning.
