Could The Expos Be Coming Back To Baseball?

    http://bostonglobe.com/sports/2013/0...lRN/story.html

With revenue sharing, and a new stadium, it might work this time. They had over 2 million attendance a year in the early 80's, so the populace has proven they could support it before.

    I hope so...

I'm thinking the Houston Astros should be the team to convert. That team sucks donkey balls.

Please no more expansion. Get rid of the stupid 1 game playoff. Miami would have been the perfect team to move, but they just pulled the biggest bait and switch in sports history and have the city where they want them.

Would be awesome, but is nothing more than a pipe dream. No stadium, no corporate support and no fans. I went to the last Expos home game before they left and I don't think more than 10,000 showed up. The last years the Impact (soccer) outdrew the Expos.

The fact that no AA or AAA team moved in since the Expos departure speaks volumes what MLB thinks of Montreal.

As a Montreal resident I'd love this but I doubt a baseball team can have success here.

it is amazing how many stars came through the two Canadian teams at some point in the late 70's, 80's, 90's

Does Montreal even understand the rules of baseball? Are they still wondering where the puck is?

I would think that the Rays would be moved if anyone is considered. Wish they could move them to Nashville. I'd get season tickets in a minute.
