I would participate in such a scheme for sure. However do you believe there are any potential owners around at the moment, and if so, who?

I would rather take action like this AFTER the news of a possible takeover. If they were taken over by a reputable name I would play with them for sure.

Apparently people reporting payouts earlier this year were only shill agents acting for pointbet, and not genuine users. Why am I not surprised?

On second inspection, is this another shill post? First post is to try and encourage people to reverse withdrawals?

Hi guys - I'm new to posting.

Firstly I stand to lose £8000 from these mothers which really upsets me. I did a bit of diggin which is probably useless and you know it all already... However the Pointsports ltd are registered at Companies house by www.fletcherkennedy.com
Their telephone number is 01428 656600 . I rang them and they wouldn't give me any telephone numbers or an address for pointbet although did admit to having them on their books. They said they would contact them though on my behalf if I so wished. Anyway she said no one else had rang interested in Pointbet. Probably is nothing...

So do you guys really think that pointbet might stay around for another three months?????

My personal feeling is that deposits will HAVE to dry up. Not really sure what is going on on all the asian forums though, have to brush up on my simplified chinese

The only rumour I know is that they are not paying asian customers either. Word will get round and any prospects who do a simple google search will be put off straight away.

Sponsorship banners and advertising banners are being pulled down all over the internet. It's anyone's guess but the scam won't last much longer I wouldn't have thought, at least not in its current guise.

And if you do get them to contact Pnt on your behalf, worth mentioning that your next step is (from companies house email I got):

If you feel the company or its officers have defrauded yourself or any
other creditors then you should send any evidence that you have and
contact Companies Investigation Branch Department Of Trade & Industry PO
Box 447 London SW1H OWU or on telephone number 020 7215 5000 or
              vetting.section@dti.gsi.gov.uk

Keep us posted and welcome to the forum

                Hi wack,

I understand you are suspicious. I posted a similar idea in the Pointbet thread on the punterslounge forum where I have a bit deeper history of posting. I also run a tipping service (which I don't want to advertise here) verified by Sports-Tipsters.co.uk among others.

I would participate in such a scheme for sure. However do you believe there are any potential owners around at the moment, and if so, who?
I would be surprised if there was one.

I would rather take action like this AFTER the news of a possible takeover. If they were taken over by a reputable name I would play with them for sure.
I would also rather wait for some news first but the truth is nobody will ever buy them out with their debts if he would be better off starting a new business from scratch. What could make me consider buying myslef into the bookmaking business instead of launching a new venture would be one of the two things:

                1. reputation
                2. customer base

The first one being ruined, we are Pointbet's (and our own!) only chance. It takes years to gather that number of customers that Pointbet has. If I could tie them up to my business for some time and get a chance to prove my worth, I would be more inclined to give it a go. At this point, however, there are no signs that the customers are going to show some good will instead of taking the first chance to run away with my freshly invested capital.

I don't know how this could be done. Maybe an email or two to running bookmaers with a link to www.pointbetcustomers.com where they could find our declarations of good will wouldn't harm? Just an idea.

There's an interesting post on the betfair forum that suggests that it's only the UK language site which claims to be pointbet ltd (uk), the others point to an offshore ltd company.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The URL is an excellent idea. I would sign up. If anyone knows anyone who can help with web design or whatever then you are 100% right, we can't do any harm. I can't imagine many/any who would not willingly accept a "plea bargain" at this stage of proceedings.

how about an exchange like betfair doing a reduced comission bailout plan like they did with sporting options.

say at 1% instead of 5%. betfair still benefit as they get alot of extra action although they keep a smaller cut and the players should be sufficiently skilled to get most of their funds back at a 1% commission rate. I think the last one was 5x rollover.

Its the ideal (if only) solution to the situation. But I cant see it happening. Too much risk in taking over PointBet. Most UK Pointbet players will have a Betfair account anyway. The situation with SP was different as they were competitors at a time when Betfair didnt have a complete stranglehold over the Exhange industry.

Lets hope something along the lines you suggested happens anyway.

Well it seems some people DID contact Companies House and got a result too.

The striking off HAS BEEN POSTPONED FOR THREE MONTHS.

More significantly, it was Companies House itself, not Pointbet, who initiated the striking-off, due to non-filing of documents.

This bloody indonesians are always famous for corruptions, swindling someone else money, getting kickbacks etc....never ending.

I'm in Singapore & I know my neigbouring country toooo well. I'm also one of the victims but fortunately my losses is very minimal.

All I've to say is there's no way you guys could get back your money, no point going to indonesian to look for them, they employed bodyguards & even you reported them to the relevant authoritites, you also can't do anything instead you'll bring more trouble for yourself in a foreign country, they are good at doing this thing.

BTW you remember the incident happened few years back concerning about an Australian bikini model consuming esctacy (party) tablets ? Do you guys know how much the models' boyfriend & her family spent in order to bail her out from that stupid country

I been to Batam once & i swear if possible never in my life will i step into this country again

All i can say is save the hassle, bros out there.
