Jacksonville Jaguars new stadium approved by NFL owners.
Jaguars stadium renovation: Planned changes, upgrades, schedule, cost (tennessean.com)

London was calling, but the Jags will be staying put in the USA.

    IMO, that's the right call.
I'm all in favor of the NFL expanding to Europe, but I'd rather see existing franchisees stay in America.
I'd rather see London and Munich with two expansion teams.

Of the four North American major professional sports leagues, only the NFL could add expansion teams and not really dilute the talent pools.

There isn't nearly enough quality pitching on the MLB level to go around for expansion.
As a matter of fact, I think MLB should cut back four teams, which will never happen, that'll open up a big smelly can of crap from the unions if so, and if it's the one thing that the MLB Commissioner Rob 'Jelly Fish' Manfred can't handle is controversy.

The NBA is pretty much unwatchable today because there aren't enough professional grade caliber players.
Not for nothing, the NHL is just right.

They say "new stadium", but it's just a renovation? Color me confused. Unless they're saying that the renovations will be so massive that it will basically be "new".

Never been but the “renovation” looks cool.

            The suites do I believe.

The club level has a field level bar/seating and an upper level bar/seating. The field level you can walk down to from club section or go in the upper club l level and take the stairs down. End zones have bottle service from Wynn. Raiders games are usually 60/40 Raiders fans and visitors. The best event I’ve been to there is the USC/LSU game. Place was rocking. LSU fans drank all the whiskey and most of the beer on their side of the stadium. Literally they ran out.

From an article I read on the stadium:

the City of Jacksonville will contribute $625 million to construction costs
Shad Khan is a billionaire and Jacksonville has a lot of problems with poverty and crime. There are much better things to spend money on than building a football stadium for a billionaire.

Totally agree. It’s their business so go and fund it. I can’t get taxpayers to fund a building for my business. I don’t want to hear about the part time jobs on game day either. If these owners had to pay for their own stadiums, arenas, etc… the professional athlete would be making a helluva lot less money. The owner doesn’t return the money when they sell for 1000% ROI. Facts.

Professional sports teams bring a lot more to the table than part time jobs. You need to look at the big picture.

Sure- some hotels, restaurants and bars directly benefit from it. That is great. Even some airline and travel companies do but ultimately the public should not be financing someone’s private business. Particularly a billionaire who can finance it themselves. Just my opinion.
