Yeah they got 6 yards on first down too. You can't go from 2nd and 4 to kicking a field goal that deep in your opponent's territory when Mahomes is on the other sideline licking his chops.

Plus why the hell didn't they defer in OT? They obviously would've had the advantage of knowing whether or not it's four down territory if they touch the ball second.

Well it's not like going for it on 4th and 4 is a no-brainer. It's really tough to pass on points there, even if it is against the Chiefs... But not deferring after winning the toss in OT doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You could've known you had to go for it rather than guess.
