He did such a great job with the #1 pick in the draft this year. Just imagine what he can do with the Titans 2nd round starting quarterback if they hire him as a head coach.

been saying the trick of the nfl
what they do is they hire black coaches who don't have any head coaching experience. the next great thing. they usually get fired in a couple years, with some exceptions (e.g. Tomlin, Ryans)
then when they have experience, and have a clue what they're doing, they almost never get a 2nd chance. how many black coaches are rehired as head coaches. almost always one and done
but, they will hire the white guy like a vrabel, belichik, whoever, even after a bad year. belichik had a horrible year, was terrible with mac jones' development, hates the media, needs total control of the team, is 71 years old, and yet they can't get to the line fast enough to hire this guy.
it's the same situation with this guy, and mayo for the patriots. that's been going on forever, they talk about diversity but it's a game.
and i am far, far from a liberal. i can't stand joe biden.
but that's how it works, at least in my opinion, in the nfl coaching carousel

what they can do, is say they hired a black guy, then fire him for bad record (he was never a head coach), before they go out and give a contract to a "legendary" white coach like mike vrabel for 5 years $50 million or whatever
it's just how it works in this crazy nutcase "DIE" and Rooney rule environment we live in. This stuff is designed to help black coaches but it crushes them. And it's done this way because it works. imo
tomlin a notable exception. he gets heat for his performance but he has far exceeded expectations and i give him full credit for that. he should be an example. and despite all that success...playoff year after playoff year...tell me who's begging to hire Mike Tomlin after next year.

You know what? The Lions had a great season and record under Jim Caldwell. I think Caldwell was one of the best coach's the Lions have ever had in their history. He certainly had one of the top winning %'s. He was the case where he started hot and it went down from there. However, he just kept winning and keeping them in contention. The year he went 12-4 I think or something they had a close loss on the road in Dallas (go figure right, another last second loss to Dallas). In that game, there were MANY controversial calls against Detroit. One of them was (if I recall correctly) a Megatron didn't complete the "process" of the catch and they stole a TD from the Lions (the winning TD). That team was pretty good and if they beat the Cowboys like they did (but were cheated) perhaps they go on to a SB.
Don't forget Caldwell took Indy to the SB but lost to New Orleans. I know he had Peyton Manning but so what. He still took them there. Anyway, he did get hired a second time (Lions), but to me it was a mystery on why the Lions got rid of him. Probably best for him anyway because Megatron was either leaving or close to leaving.
He's a pretty good coach and deserves a 3rd chance. Solid coach. And the Lions - of course they screwed that up. Looks like Campbell is pretty good though so time will tell.

Why is this guy not getting any heat for getting an interview after he was horrible? Is it because he is not like the coach of the Panthers? Quit being racist. There are also bad white coaches who get interviews to meet the quota.
Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury is set to interview for the Chicago Bears' vacant offensive coordinator position on Friday, NFL Network's Peter Schrager and Ian Rapoport reported.
don't understand what white men get interviewed to meet any quota. maybe you misspoke?

me?
i'm not really upset over it. i'm upset over experienced qualified candidates (white or black latino whatever) not getting interviewed over black guys who get hired as head coaches, yet they have 0 experience as a head coach. i don't see the world in terms of oppressed (black) and white (oppressor) and it's our job to go out and fix it.
there's nothing to fix. let the world breathe without endlessly trying to manipulate it.

Take for example Mayo. This guy has 4 years as an inside linebacker's coach, he is 37 years old. He's replacing Bill Belichik. But he's black and young and so he's the next hot thing. And yet there are plenty of experienced black coaches who have way more of a clue what to do in this situation than this Mayo guy.
And so, he'll be a head coach for what, a few years before they fire him.
Then Kraft hires some established white coach for $60 million and 5 years, or whatever it is. He already hired the minority, per DEI and Rooney rules.
And that's what is going to happen in my opinion.
And of course you will say well no, I'm being racist this Mayo guy will succeed. Because I know that's what liberals do, they point the race finger. And they completely missed the point that I said this guy Mayo has 0 head coaching experience, and limited coaching experience at that. I'm sure they're fishing for the next Mike Tomlin, when experienced black men like Tony Dungy, Leslie Frazier, Eric Bienemy, the list goes on and on, who have real experience, have 0 shot at head coaching.

Teams are starting to notice experience is not the end all, especially if that is experience losing, or the game has just passed some older guys buy
McVay, Lafleur, Shanahan, Campbell, Ryans, Stefanski McDaniels were not experienced head coaches when they were hired
Some guys interview well and others don't
The Raiders players say they will leave if Pierce isn't hired
He has virtually no experience other than going 5-4 with a team with no offensive play makers
Should they hire a more experienced guy???
I wouldn't

I never said that, it's just my opinion
I think it's like everything else
Some people are scared of youth and the unknown, and fall back to the known, even if if the known hasn't been that good for awhile
You really never know in either scenario, but right now it seems like some lesser experienced guys are being successful

Look at the new coach of Alabama. 10 years ago he was bagging groceries to feed his family. Now he is coaching Alabama. So you don't need experience to become head coach. Just someone to give you a try to prove yourself.

Demoralization is a part of their game. Don't fall for it.
Social media, TV, movies, news and just about everything else is loaded with propaganda. There's plenty of us that see through the woke agendas and the creeping loss of freedoms. Plenty of us are awake and "not woke".

Pierce will gone in two seasons tops. He's the worst coach by a mile in his own division, Reid, Peyton and Harbaugh.
Wasn't Pierce linked to the Herm Edwards scandal at Arizona State? If he was a white guy, the media would be all over him getting hired. Plus, he got charged with animal neglect a few years ago. He's no role model.
Another disaster for the Raiders coming. Just what the Raiders need, Max Crosby and Devontee Adams picking their coach.

Problem now, they are not only interviewing the minimum token candidates, they are interviewing like 10 of them, black and white. NFL owners worried about getting sued.
I have not seen Brian Flores linked to any interviews, has he?

that is what we call a paradox and/or a catch-22, MJ! If the black man declines, the teams or owners can turn around say "Hey! We tried to give the brotha an interview and a chance but he declined!" and by the same token, if the black "prospects" keep declining the interviews then they nor the media can't turn around and play the race card because of "lack of opportunities" or "discrimination". Yes, a very slippery slope indeed.

It's no secret that Brian Flores is being black balled (no pun intended) by NFL owners! Hard to prove discrimination with the good ole boy network but all of us know there is definitely collusion on certain matters as it pertains to rules, hiring and firing people, etc. and if one of those speaks out or sues the "establishment" he gets put on that infamous poop list!...(Ray Rice, Jon Gruden, and Brian Flores are names right off the top of my head)

Steve Wilkes, the 49ers DC, joined Flores' lawsuit and he did get an interview from somebody and likely will this year and next, especially if the Niners win the SB.
