NFL RB Pay Cuts/Wages Dropping/Left Unsigned? What Is Going On Fellas?
All I see on news feeds are Top RB's reducing contracts... some left unsigned. What is going on here? Every team basically depended on a TOP RB a decade ago... now... they changed their minds?

So all we need are 25 million per year QB's.... and 20 million WR's? lol we don't need anyone else! Interesting.

It's been trending that way for years. Running backs have too short of a shelf life to invest in long term, and often they're easily replaced by someone with less mileage. There's only a few true difference makers at the position. You're better off investing in elite offensive linemen.

In a league with a hard salary cap ,spending big money on a RB is a waste because if you don't have a good OL then you don't have a good RB.

a list of the salary of the the last 10-15 Super Bowl winning RB's would show they are not close to being highly paid. teams invest the big bucks elsewhere.

Or edge rushers, or tight ends...

If I owned a team, I'd get rid of the receivers and name-brand QB and run the ball every play. Get a top-notch OL, and a few first-round RB's. It would throw off the other teams and they'd be lost trying to stop the run every play. It would take "Ground Chuck" to a whole new level. Then just sit back and collect the Lombardis.

I meant to facilitate the running game. That's where it starts, the push up front... Running backs, save for a few exceptions, are interchangeable at the NFL level.

Melvin Gordon was a high draft pick easily replaced by UDFA Austin Ekeler. Same with Zeke to Pollard... CEH for the Chiefs looks like 1st round bust and they've already found his replacement in Pacheco whom they drafted at the end of the 7th round the following year. The list goes on.

Just give me a top 8 offensive line, and I'll give you a running back that produces.

I'm paying attention to Robinson and Atlanta's front line this season.
