Word is the owner of the A's is doing this on purpose.

Selling the talent away, but not rebuilding. The plan here may be to tank the team so bad that the attendance gets so bad that they can once again claim Oakland shouldn't have a team.

Vegas here they come. But then, once there, they still need a team. So I don't know.

As of now, I suppose they are living off of revenue sharing.

                    What a shit show.

Now Oakland will be the only city to lose all three sports teams.at least the Warriors just went across the water.ya this owner definitely trying his best to move to Vegas.i grew up an A's fan,my dad brought us to games. I remember the previous owner was trying to build a stadium in San Jose but the San Francisco Giants blocked it because they have the San Jose Giants here. Once the San Francisco Giants got a new stadium and won world series they took over the fan base

Yeah, if I recall, Fisher had a deal set for a new stadium then decided he wanted the city to pay for all of it, which may have been a non starter to begin with.

After that it was all down hill.

Owner changed the goal post, and fukked everything up.

I think I'm remembering that correctly.

They need a new stadium, period. After 2024 the the lease at the Coliseum expires and MLB says the stadium is not suitable for a pro team.

He fukked up the deal with the Jack London Square plans, and fukked it all up for Oakland.

Yeah the Jack London field would have been great.waterfront stadium, Reviving restaurant downtown area there. Lots of new condos. It would have boosted the economy like the Giants did for China Basin area

I think they'll do good in Las Vegas .the A's can always get new talent they just can't keep them, but maybe they'll keep them now with a new stadium

True. A’s historically develop and have quality talent. Hope it continues if they come here to Vegas.

No Johnny, there's no coincidence, the A's owner had a plan.

I would imagine something has at least been discussed with the other owners and MLB, as there seems to be a plan to build a stadium. I don't think there's been any official word of a franchise move.

That's poetic as A's are the unofficial minor league team for NY Yankees and their new stadium will be close to New York New York.

They are shocking in a bad way, they had great pitching backing in the day like zito, hudson, mulder now they become a terrible team going through the motions.

Billy Beane is not walking through that door.

Even back in the day when they were winning, they still didn't draw well. Oakland doesn't deserve a team.
