can someone answer why the national league home run leader would dare bunt with 2 strikes?
2 strikes
2 outs
down 3 runs in a WS elimiation game.
Even if they wanted a baserunner, that plan ends after two strikes.
Just not sure there.

It shocked me also. It was almost like he was giving up on the at-bat.

Anyone want to play Devil's advocate here?
Anyone provide any sound reasoning for the bunt attempt?
I'm open and all ears. What was going on here? Didn't Schwarber hit a Schwarbomb earlier in the game?
What happened???

if he did that in philly he might not make it to the dugout before the fans climbed over the wall and clawed his scales until he bled to death

Right? lol
I offered that they want a base runner, but once there are two strikes I don't think they would stick with that plan. I mean just how fast and how much of a proven bunter is Schwarber. We know he's a proven power hitter.
Analytics absolutely say not to bunt there, actually they say not to bunt nearly everywhere unless you tweak the expaectation with sacrifice bunting specialists, which Schwarber is not, there was no one on base, and there were two outs.
But combine the traditional analytics with the situational awareness and having the Schwarbomber at the plate then WTF?
