The rule has been in existence every year, it is just that this is the first time rule has come into play as League I has always filled first.

Remember though that entries for BOTH leagues will close once 22 SBR members have sent points, and if those 22 members include less than 11 League I qualifiers, then the earliest non-qualifying members to post up will go into League I.

i get the rule but is it really fair for a new guy to jump into league 1 when guys have been in league 2 for years even before we started the bottom 2 top 2 flip?

I won both league 2 and 3, took 2nd in the next year, then when it opens newbies get in right in front of my ass. Now past winners are already in.

but it has been in the rules forever, i guess. Give me a fukin break guy. Fuk it, I will play in the other league. The only reason I give a fuk is I want to be with my brothers that have been here forever and I talk too. Not a bunch of newbies. Just give me my points back LT. Give my spot to a newbie, like the heads want.

I signed up early and didn't even know the difference between 1 and 2.

Take my place unde, I don't know anyone in I or 2 so I would really appreciate it if you took my place. I just want the competition.

What did i lie about? We did not bring in the top 2 promotion/demotion rule until 2 years ago, and you did not finish in top 2 those 2 years, or else you would have been promoted. The success you had before that is irrelevant to the conversation.

And again, that clause about earliest League II guys to join moving up to League I once both leagues close has been there ever since we made League 1 the alumni league while keeping other leagues open, it has just never been an issue before because this is the first time EVER that we received entries to fill both leagues without League I filling first, due to Roadtrip's no-show.

Next year I will re-write the rules to reflect what we are doing now, i.e., if we fill both leagues without all League I eligibles joining, League I gets to vote on which League II entry or entries moves up.

The condescending tone of some league 1 members towards league 2 owners reminds me of legacy cab drivers clinging desperately to their medallions amidst the rise of Uber and Lyft. They know without the inflated and self perceived name brand value falsely given to begin with, they'd get boat raced in any other league.

That isn't to say league 1 isn't desirable to be in when compared to league 2. The direct correlation of desirability is in the sunk cost owners that populate league 1. Although they have lost 2 owners that resorted to magazines published from 2017 for research purposes, they still have regular donators in phillygal and carolinagay.

However the slew of fresh faces to league 2 this year make for more unknown variables. Given the certainty of dead money and suckers in league 1 (see above mentioned names) as opposed to historical league 2 averages, league 1 has at the very least 2 more owners than league 2 for favorable conditions.
